UMITRON Significantly Upgrades AI in Smart Feeder “UMITRON CELL”

~ Advanced Fish Activity Analysis for Greater Feed Efficiency and Enhanced Smart Aquaculture ~

UMITRON PTE. LTD. (Location: Singapore, Co-founder / President Masahiko Yamada) has announced a major update to the AI functionality of its smart feeder “UMITRON CELL.” The update significantly enhances the algorithm of its core AI system, the Fish Appetite Index (FAI), along with the control system that governs feeding operations.

With this update, the system can now quantify fish feeding behavior with higher accuracy, enabling customized feeding control tailored to individual producers, fish species, and farm environments. The result is greater feed efficiency, reduced labor burden, and continued support for the sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry.

Umitron Selected for JAXA Space Strategy Fund Project “Feasibility Study on Overseas Demonstration of Satellite Data Utilization System”

Umitron K.K. (Location: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Ken Fujiwara, hereinafter referred to as Umitron) has been selected as the implementing organization for the “Feasibility Study on Overseas Demonstration of Satellite Data Utilization System” in the FY2024 Space Strategy Fund Project publicly solicited by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

The technical development theme is “Demonstration of marine spatial planning and monitoring platform for aquaculture industry development,” and the project is scheduled to be undertaken until the end of FY2026.

Umitron launches a capital and business alliance with ENEOS to commence joint research on blue carbon to achieve a carbon-neutral circular economy

The iOS application launch completes Umitron’s roll out of Pulse after the initial launch of Pulse for desktop computers in July followed by the Android application release in November.
