It's hard to ignore the fact that today is Election Day in the U.S. If you went to the polls today, tell us what it was like. Long line? Free stickers? Hanging chads? We want the details.

I've been up since 3:30 am, and am currently working on 3.5 hours of sleep and a one hour power nap...and holy shit it's election day.

It's pouring on and off here (which is fitting since it's always raining in the 'burg) but my friend and I were in line at 6 AM. And I was number 241. The hour we waited was totally worth it- I can't even describe the energy. It just felt like everyone was full of this excitement at what they were doing. Everyone else who voted later in the day said there were no lines and they went right through, but I'm personally glad I voted that early. It was wonderful.

I am very disappointed with this years stickers- whoever had the idea to change from the traditional check-mark "I Voted" is made of epic fail. The white house and presidential seal just look kind of stupid.

Basically I've been moving around all day putting up signs and getting people to go vote (the banner we made to hang off the Crim Dell Bridge was particularly awesome). And now it's suddenly 5:48 and polls are going to start closing in Indiana and Kentucky and HOLY SHIT it's election day!

I have parties to go to and champagne to drink and so much praying ahead of me...this day is so insane and man am I glad to be doing this.

Nathan Fillion as the incredibly manly Captain Hammer

Felicia Day as OMG WHO CARES NATHAN AND NEIL SINGING.

Seriously, it is MADE OF AWESOME.  SO MUCH CAPSLOCK LOVE.

"Another bad day/and all I want to do is look at you/ and know I'm okay"

I know none of them will read this, since none of them have LJ, but I want to take a minute to tell my friends here how much I adore them and thank them. I've been in a shit mood all day, freaking out over my friends at Tech, and they've done nothing but understand. It's weird that I'm pretty much the only one of them who has a signifcant number of classmates at VT, and that makes it all the nicer that they understand why I'm so upset even though everyone there is okay.

So thank you Helen, for being the first one I talked to about it, Becca for leaving lunch early with me so I could stalk the INternet and putting aside your bad day for mine, Carrie for baking with me and letting me talk it through, Rachel for reminding me that I'm not the only one, and everyone else. Andrew Noll and Francis for doing little things that honestly made my day. Ally for texting and IMing me even though it's been a while. Sarah for taking my calls at the most random of times and listening while I rambled. I adore you all.

I don't know how much sleep I'll get tonight, but everyone affected will be in my thoughts and prayers.

This is my last Comp Sci update. Ever. For all time. That makes me extremely sad.

We're presenting projects today. These two kids drew a city that was protected from szombies by a giagantic wall. One guy copied two paragraphs onto a webstie. It's really fascinating. Not

I'm really, really far down the list of presenters. It's boring me to tears. *is crying*

Mr. Garrison just did a sarcastic rendition of how Christian's presentation should have gone. It was amusing, mostly because we all clapped sarcastically hard at the end. Sarcasm is my friend.

I'm definitely wearing my very cool gown right now with my doubly cool cords. I was quadruply cool before when I was wearing Stevil's math cords and Jason's Latin cords. But they took those away from me. So now I'm very, very sad.

My robe is somewhat confortable. It's really big and black and makes me look like a crow. CAW! CAW!

We're reminiscing about our 8th grade Spanish teacher who tricked us once by having her twin pretend to be her. And the book me and Julie wrote about the little monkey that lost his tedyd bear (called El Mono Pequeno...how creative).

YAY! I just had my presentation! And Mr. Garrison didn't say anything bad about it. I ROCK.

Oh yeah... MY BIRTHDAY'S ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Half an hour left...must stay strong...SO BORED.

This class stinks. There are WAY too many boys in here.

Paul Hanna spelled the name of his presentation wrong. What a failure. Who can't spell "Photoshop" correctly?

It's Julie's turn now...and she's the last person!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

Mr. Garrison has a website. www.thegarrisonshow.com. It's kind of dumb.

And...we're done. SWEET. And we get out of lass (our last high school class ever of all time) in five minutes.

Let me just say that it's been a blast writing these for you all year, and that I really do love you all.

Time to go be convocated.

Love for everyone!
