PowerZip

Unzip downloads, create password-protected Zip files and encrypt confidential documents with PowerZip.

It is an easy file compression & security program, the compression / extraction wizards make working with archives simple providing advanced features. This is done with a small number of steps and some steps can be skipped to use default options. Also tool tip messages explain the purpose of each button or control.

PowerZip supports new compression methods: Deflate64 and BWT, to provide with a higher level of compression than is normally available in Zip files. Standard Zip compression is also supported for compatibility with other Zip programs.

PowerZip supports 12 types of archives: Zip, Cab, Tar, Bz2, Gz, Arj, Rar, Ace, Jar, Lzh and Z archives. If you need to distribute large files to friends, colleagues or customers who do not have a Zip program, PowerZip allows the creation of a self-extracting archive that can be unzipped without requiring a compression program.

If an archive contains folders, PowerZip displays them in a Windows Explorer-like manner, instead of simply listing all files in a "flat" list.
