May I convert MP3 audio file to .BIN (audio) file? Thank you.

R
Answer by Robert Polubinski

The software supports a wide number of disc image and audio files (for burning to DISC), but it doesn't feature a converter to turn MP3 into BIN files.

After some digging around, I've found that BIN files (audio format) is used by the Karaoke applications. However, no converter is available for this procedure to transform MP3 to BIN, but there is a way through Karaoke MP3+G Creators.

For example, Karaoke CD+G Creator is capable of combining CDG and MP3 into BIN format.

How do I stop PowerISO from accessing my Temp system folder and leaving junk files in it?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Whenever you create an image or perform an operation, PowerISO creates various temporary files. To avoid doing this, access Options > Configuration > General. Assign a custom Temporary folder on your drive that you have quick access to. When the procedure in PowerISO finishes, navigate to this drive and delete everything.

I tried to extract an image file with PowerISO to an external drive. But it said I don't have enough space. My drive is almost empty, and the file is only 7GB.

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

This mostly happens because the file system of the partition you're trying to copy a 7GB file is in FAT32. The FAT32 file system supports files with 4GB in size. If you want to copy the 7 GB file, you'll have to format it to NTFS. If the partition is empty, go to My Computer, right click it, Format and then choose NTFS. After this procedure, you should be able to copy the file without any errors.

I can't seem to exchange files between my drive in FAT32 format and PowerISO? Is this a compatibility issue?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Based on the information regarding file systems, FAT32 can't use files over 4 GB. If you're trying to transfer a file from PowerISO to a FAT32 and it's bigger than 4GB, then an error will appear. You will need NTFS for this procedure.

Secondly, PowerISO support disc image files with FAT12, FAT, FAT32, NTFS and ext2, ext3 partitions. In the end, this is rather a problem with the files you're operating with, because, as you can see, PowerISO supports these file systems.

Can PowerISO be used to mount and launch virtual disks, or does it just create them?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Yes, PowerISO is used to mount and launch various formats. Practically, any file that PowerISO supports can be mounted as a virtual drive through Mount option. Before doing this, click Mount and install a virtual drive through Set Number of Drives option. Once a virtual drive is created, click Mount again and choose the disc image you have on your computer or storage devices. You can then access it as normally from My Computer/This PC.
