Roger Halverson of the ‘Model Rails and Wargames blog’ has been working on upgrading or giving value to some of those cheap distorted pound store type plastic toy soldiers by converting them into snowball fighters with the help of some Milliput, a bit of ‘faking lead’ and some shiny gloss paint:
