#RPG – Open Art Call – Comic Cover

Art only, text will be handled, so a bit of space will need to be left at the top to fit in a title.

Looking for a 300 dpi, A4, basic colour (shade and highlight) at around ~$200, but this is negotiable. Digital delivery required and payment via Paypal upon delivery, with the artist retaining rights to resale or re-use the art.

The cover is for an introductory comic, to explain RPGs as a concept to new players, parents, friends or children. Perhaps to become part of a series, depending on reception.

As such I’d like the cover to evoke the basic wish-fulfilment quality and appeal of games. Perhaps fantasy archetypes bracketing a d20, perhaps a player, looming about their character like a god while their character faces some peril. Those are my two main ideas, but I’m open to pitches.

#RPG – Open Art Call -Tales of Gor

7c35031a70c99ad5269df8f1194d061a.pngAn artist has had to pull out of illustrating the next Tales of Gor adventure/supplement, due to being overwhelmed by other commitments (and due to me being a soft touch as an employer!)

As such I am looking for an artist to pick up the slack so I can get the next book out.

You don’t need to know Gor, though it would be helpful. I need someone willing/able to handle mild adult content (nudity) and with an appreciation of the ‘swords-and-sandals’, ‘planetary romance’ and ‘science fantasy’ aesthetic. Your style doesn’t have to match, but an appreciation or enthusiasm of the medium will carry well.

The job is for four, B&W (pref line art) A5-A6 scale illustrations at 300-600 dpi. Offered payment is $200 USD, with a bonus if you can supply the work within a 7 day schedule. This is negotiable within reason.

Open Art Call: Children’s Adventure Project

What about Eerie Indiana? Gravity Falls? Camp Lakebottom?

Basically, what we’re working on here is a child-friendly ‘Over the Edge’.

We need art.

With the book based around A5 in size we’re looking for:

  • Full page colour cover
  • 2 half page B&W
  • 7 1/4 page B&W

Budget starts at $400 but show us your art and make an offer even if it’s for more.

A semi-cartoonish style is preferred, but we’ll look at other styles if you can make a case for them.

Deadline is ASAP so if you’re free to start immediately, that would also be a bonus.

Open Art Call: Colony Moon – Commercial Edition

Before joining Chronicle City I was a third-party publisher with them, using the excellent* 3PP support system there to get my material into more stores, outlets and distributors. One of these projects was to take Colony Moon into distribution. We’re now at a point where we can press on with that but I’d like to ‘spruce up’ the current edition of Colony Moon to make it more appealing.

To that end I am placing an open art call for some pieces of B&W art to illustrate the commercial edition.

PLEASE NOTE!
Colony Moon is a hard-science, social science-fiction game and the style must reflect that.
Requirements: B&W line or shaded style suitable for B&W print.

A hard-science, realistic,  ‘NASA illustration’ style is preferred but I will consider more artistic representations.

Pieces:

  • 2-4 small (1/8th A4) header/footer illustrations.
  • 9 (1/4 A4) scene illustrations.
  • Payment: Around $250 – negotiable to a degree.
  • You retain right of re-use and resale of any and all art produced for this project.
  • Payment immediately on completion of work, via Paypal.
  • Fast turnaround essential.
