    Excel If and Vlookup

I have a drop down box where users select a Town. I have a formulae that says VLOOKUP(A13,Tra velRates,2. A13 is the town from the drop down list. This works fine and a rate is calculated. However, there are 3 rates I need to use depending upon mileage eg 50-99, 100-200,201-300. I think it is =IF then vlookup but I am completely lost. Can anyone PLEASE put me on the right direction.

A huge thank you in advance

What trouble are you having with the IF function?

One possibility would be to replace the column number (2) in your Vlookup with a cell value that indicates which rate to look up.
