    BarCode reader USB Help

    I am trying to input information from a bar code reader (Bar codes from CDs )into an excel spreadsheet. The Scanner is recognised by my PC.

      This isn't a forum for technical questions. But since I am curious when you read a barcode how does it get to your computer? Can you open notepad and scan a barcode and it will print out the barcode to the text editor?

          i have a similar issue going on, my barcode scanner plugs straight into the USB port, and when i open notepad andscan something, it gives me the barcode number (the number under every barcode).

              So if you want to put in in excel sheet just highlight a cell and scan your barcode. How difficult is that?
