    Re: Book on Java?

I have found a book named "Thinking in Java", written by Bruce Eckel, to be
one of the best intro books to JAVA, and object-oriented design in general I
have come across. It is even made available online for free. I believe
this link will get you there http://www.mindview.net/Books/TIJ/ . Check it
    out.

I use "Java - How To Program, 5th ed". It uses small programs and applets as
examples, but also contains in-depth information that you can continue to
      reference as your knowledge grows.
