    Server Backup

    Hi All,
Can anybody recommend a fairly simple full backup program for a new Server running running Windows Server 2019 Standard. Prefer local backup, Not cloud based.
    Thanks, Ray

You directly stated, "Not cloud based." I expect that particular security constraint to be ignored or not understood by some other people. But, since you did specifically stipulate, "Not cloud based" I supply the following answer.

Do not backup any Microsoft operating system from within that system past either XP Pro sp2 or 7 sp0. And do not do this from later than Windows server 2003 sp1. It is a serious security issue to stop later versions' cloud connections that have been hard coded into them.

    Take out the server's drive.
Connect that hard drive to another computer that does not have a Microsoft operating system in it; use something like linux, or unix, etc. and which has EASEUS ToDo Backup (it is free) or similar installed on it and back it up. That way you force the backup to be clean. Back it up with the option of "sector by sector".

Backing up from within the operating system, if you do not want any "cloud" connections, is definitely not your answer.

With practice this can be easy.

Security is not an option it is a requirement.
