    System shutdowns

    Sir,
    Whenever I instal any software from cd drive, system shut downs and resatarts.insta lation fails. At the same time I install that software through the pen drive.Can any one help me in this regard?

      Does the CD-based install fail with any error messages? How does it fail?

      Are you attempting to install from a USB at the exact same time? Does the USB installation succeed or fail?

                      Well, without more information (when you reboot, at what point does it fail? On POST? On loading the MBR? At the OS splash screen? When the OS tries to initialize?), then I am curious what is different between the USB image and the CD image.

                      Was the same file used to create both? Have you run an md5sum on the original file to ensure it is not corrupt? Are they the exact same OS' and versions?
