Graphics under c++

I am trying to make a program which shows at least, some images, how can i do this, is there any web page you recommend?? Any suggestions you can give???

I recommend Opengl. It's free and can be used with different OS.

I like OpenGL but I have never found a really good online documentaiton site like MSDN for it.
