In occasione della beatificazione di Maria Lorenza Longo è doveroso nei confronti proprio della B... more In occasione della beatificazione di Maria Lorenza Longo è doveroso nei confronti proprio della Beata in virtù dell’apporto dato al rinnovamento dei costumi nell’ambito ecclesiale, menzionare l’avvicinarsi del quinto centenario della fondazione dell’Ordine dei Chierici Regolari, e, dunque, i 500 anni della riforma del clero (inaugurata da papa Clemente VII, e concretamente attuata da Gian Pietro Carafa (riformatore della corte pontificia, nonché istitutore del clero regolare, «amico di tutte le riforme» ) e i modelli della santità da loro propagati. L'esperienza femminile legata ai Chierici Regolari fu quella della beata Maria Lorenza Longo, amica di Gian Pietro Carafa e figlia spirituale di san Gaetano Thiene e del beato Giovanni Marinoni, i quali la accompagnarono sia nella fondazione del Monastero di santa Maria in Gerusalemme e sia nei primi anni di consolidamento della nuova comunità, successivamente chiamata delle Cappuccine, fino alla morte della Fondatrice.

The reconstruction of the history of the tomb of Saint Cajetan and of the Sepulcher of the First ... more The reconstruction of the history of the tomb of Saint Cajetan and of the Sepulcher of the First Theatines in San Paolo Maggiore constitutes and remains an indispensable fact for understanding the particularity and singularity of the development of the cult and devotion regarding the Saint founder of the Theatines. The five centuries of their troubled history reveal the complexity of the subject and its relevance in view of the fifth centenary of the foundation of the Order of Regular Clerics (1524-2024). The description of the fundamental stages of the "transit" of the sacred bones of Cajetan Thiene, from his tomb to the Sanctuary in his honor, highlights the need and urgency for more detailed and accurate studies.

The occasion of the fifth centenary of the Foundation of Regular Clerics Theatine urges us to rec... more The occasion of the fifth centenary of the Foundation of Regular Clerics Theatine urges us to reconsider the rich spiritual, cultural and artistic heritage of which its members are still custodians thanks to an excellent work, laborious, capillary and unitary, lasting the five centuries of its existence. It will not be an easy task, therefore, to be able to describe all the 'treasure' of the House of Saint Paul Major, having been a community composed of many illustrious religious, who, for several centuries, constantly, aimed to preserve and enrich it and pass it on to subsequent generations. The present work, therefore, will tend, in particular, to a description in broad sense, to have a first idea of this 'treasure' and always, however, waiting for a real catalog, to which this article, could serve as an introduction.

The article presents the important role played by the convent of the Discalced Carme... more The article presents the important role played by the convent of the Discalced Carmelite not only in the history of the town Glebokie, but also in the north-eastern part of Wileńszczyzna (Vilnius region). Author focuses on a few main topics: the outstanding contri-bution and generosity of the founder of the monastery – Joseph Korsak; influence on region’s life and on activities of the priors such as: Father Josaphat Tyszkiewicz, Father Nicholas Budny, Father Wojciech Pczycki, Fr Pankracy Kruszynski, Fr Bartholomew Brydycki. What is more, the visits of powerful politics as Polish King John II Casimir, Paul Sapieha, French Emperor Napoleon I are shown as the examples of convent’s extraordinary role in the epoch. Last but not least, also the convent’s great impact on the struggle for inde-pendence of the Polish State and it’s leading role in the field of spreading education in whole area are one of the most important parts of the article. The work is based on a considerable amount of archival material from various archives: Polish, Lithuanian, Belarusian, Russian.

limita solo ai paramenti liturgici, ma comprende anche gli abiti religiosi. La
forma, il tessuto, le modalità di utilizzo e della consegna non erano per
nulla scontati, al contrario, avevano il grande compito di comunicare e
rendere tangibili alcuni importantissimi aspetti teologici. Nel nostro caso
concreto il vestiario dei Teatini aveva un compito preciso: esprimere visibilmente la riforma interiore avvenuta nel clero regolare. A questo però va aggiunta una precisazione: i successivi rami dei chierici regolari optarono per le soluzioni diverse riguardo alla forma e alla praticità dei loro abiti, il che rende del tutto peculiare il modo di vestirsi dei Teatini, anche perché erano i primi chierici regolari.
