One of the older generation of LJ users. Married to the same person for 50 years, we have two adult daughters, one granddaughter and one dog, Sofia, a sort of poodle rescue mutt and the most loving creature on earth.
Friends are treasures and if you are a friend of mine you have my loyalty and support through good and bad. Disloyalty to those I love is not part of my vocabulary though there may be rough spots between us. Unless you willfully cause harm or act out of malicious intent or are unjust and judgmental, you can count on me. Otherwise, not so much.
I do not tolerate bigotry of any sort, ill will or unkindness.

Travel is one of the motivators of my life and I can spend long hours on the internet planning future trips and then recording them down to the last detail. If you don't like photo posts and details about history, architecture (both passions of mine) et al, beware!
That said, I love flowers and gardens and watching the seasons pass, such as they are in my corner of the world. And dogs. And cats. And all animals in general.
My LJ username refers to our constant hopping back and forth over the big pond between Spain and the US where family and friends live.
NB: Drama is not tolerated here. We should all be adult enough to realize that not everybody thinks alike. Respect is all I ask of anybody. If you have a tendency to get touchy with others and feel attacked in a personal way when somebody disagrees with you, please don't bring the drama to my LJ. Continue in private if you must. That said, I rarely discuss politics or religion here as both are deeply personal. I know what I believe and if you want to know just ask. I have no problem defining myself. Those of you who know me well, already know a lot about what I am and what I believe. The great thing about LJ is the possibility of meeting people who disagree with you on those levels and yet have so much in common with you on others.
I welcome new friends but please, introduce yourself on my open "map post" at the beginning of my LJ entries. Thank you!
