Have any of you experienced issues with installing the latest .deb on a Debian or Ubuntu? The install seems to go okay but the icon image is broken. If I install the Snap on Ubuntu or the Flatpak on Debian, everything is fine. Just can't seem to figure out why this is happening.

Now @zulip is jumping on the bandwagon and shoving AI into their product? Just a week or so back, I recommended using Zulip at a nonprofit that I volunteer with. I'm sending a message to the executive director and taking back my recommendation with an explanation as to why. I am so completely over AI getting shoved into everything.

So, I posted this article about Red Hat going all-in on AI a few days ago, but I went back and read it again. I noticed a few things that I missed the first time around and, well, to the point, fuck Red Hat and all of the companies going all-in on AI and pretty much telling their engineers to jump onboard or leave.

What are these companies planning to do when the AI bubble bursts?

I think it's finally time I learn how to build a website with a static site generator. I've been putting it off because I have no idea how they work or how to get them up and running.

When I find a new band that I really like, I have to look them up to see if they are using AI to create the music. While listening to music tonight, I found 4 bands that are using AI to "create" their "music". Bloody fucking hell. I'm really over this shit.

I'm doing my taxes myself, next year, even though I don't understand them. My accountant has had my paperwork for more than a month and they still are not done. I have an extension so okay on that front. They said that they didn't have everything they needed when I called to check. I mean, they could have called me and told me this a month ago. 🤷‍♂️

The fucking AI bubble can't burst fast enough. They're blaming AI for the layoffs? I don't know, maybe not use AI?

The divorce last year made my tax filing a bit more confusing (to me) until I found out that it's actually easier. The accountant has had my tax info for more than a month and I have no idea what is going on. I guess I'll be filing for an extension this year.

For so many reasons, I've never been so stressed in my life.

Gave all of my tax paperwork to my accountant 3 weeks ago and my taxes are still not completed. It's all due in 2 days. Got to be honest, I'm getting a bit nervous. I turned them in later than usual because I went through a divorce in October of last year and I thought that would kind of throw a wrench into everything. Turns out, it really doesn't.  I wonder if the IRS gives extensions?

Midori web browser by @[email protected]. Now, there's a web browser I've not thought about for quite a while.  Installing it on my Debian machines to give it another try.
