From these intergroup emotions and stereotypes, the behavior from intergroup affect and stereotypes (bias) map predicts distinct behaviors: active and passive, facilitative and harmful (Cuddy, Fiske, & Glick, 2006). In this study, the researchers sought after the over-all cognition of high school and college students of their teachers/professors. Also, this study aims to explore the difference exist among social cognition per year level and level of dimensions on Warmth and Competence of the students. The study used random sampling technique with participants composed of 120 high school and 120 college students with a total of 240. A number of 30 students per year level: (Grades 7-10) and (1st year – 4th year college) with an equal distribution of 15 males and 15 females per year from a public secondary school in Quezon City and a University in Manila Area. The study showed that that students perceived warmth and competence as elicit uniformly positive emotions and behavior, where competence dimension particularly positively competent judgments carry more weight in affective and behavioral reactions. The over-all social cognition among high school and college students is positively competent with a significant difference of 0.03 which implies that the students saw first their teacher competencies like skills and abilities that create a convincing and learner friendly environment. A Positive competent dimension implies a good and well-established social interaction/relationship towards others, specifically on their teachers.

In this study, the researchers sought to find the level of Hope, Self-Esteem and Positive Outlook among college students. Also, this research aimed to explore the relationships of these constructs to the student's academic achievement and to their future success. The study used purposive sampling technique with participants from the 2 nd year, 3 rd year, and 4 th year students of different programs under a faculty in a Teacher Education Institution. The study showed a correlation between all the constructs. Pearson r revealed that Academic Achievement was positively correlated with the three constructs. These correlations were for Hope, Self-esteem and Positive Outlook. Hope was significantly moderate correlated to Self-Esteem and to Positive Outlook. Self-esteem and Positive Outlook were also moderately correlated. The results also indicated that student's with moderate level of Hope, Self-Esteem and Positive Outlook have a clear view about their goals whereas student's with low level of Hope, Self-Esteem and Positive Outlook have unclear and unsure view about their goals. And lastly, these constructs were able to promote the idea of achieving academic success.
