The Platial Analysis Lab is a research group based out of McGill University at the intersection of urban informatics, behavioural geography, and information science. As the name suggests, the Platial<\/i> Analysis Lab pulls apart the concept of place<\/i>, taking a data-driven and behavioural approach to understanding the dimensions that contribute to how we understand and explain the world around us.<\/p>\n

The research themes <\/a>of our members range considerably, but current efforts focus on:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Urban and spatial data science
\u2022\u00a0 Human mobility and activity patterns
\u2022\u00a0 Location privacy and security
\u2022\u00a0 Analytical and behavioural geographic science
\u2022\u00a0 Neighbourhood and vague regional boundary delineation
\u2022\u00a0 Geographic knowledge representation<\/p>\n
