Plan-IQ

Plan-IQ optimizes layouts of rectangular parts on rectangular panels, minimizing overall waste. The system can optimize over multiple panels in multiple sizes, giving you the best overall set of layouts.

Besides for panels, one of the two Plan-IQ optimizers can be used to place parts on a long roll, minimizing total length used.

The optimizer is provided in two versions: one for any type of cut, one for only edge-to-edge (guillotine) cuts. The any-type-of-cut optimizer is typically used for CNC routers, the edge-to-edge optimizer for panel saws. Both optimizers are state-of-the-art, and are also in use in many other systems for the woodworking industry.
