Okay guys, I'm going to try not to be such a downer... But the polls at therealljidol are truly getting me down. Like more than they should.

It's a community only vote so you have to join the community to vote. It's a great group and I swear, they don't overload your friends page with a lot of posts. But truly, it's a great group and I wouldn't have spent the last 10 months of my life writing my heart out every week and giving up my weekends with my boyfriend for nothing. It's worth it. I love the group and think many of you would too.

And for those already in the group who are on the sidelines, this is a BIG vote. 3 people are leaving out of the 7 left. That's a big chunk. The finals are right around the corner.

It would mean the absolute world to me to make it to the finals. Already making it this far has done a lot to make me feel good about myself. As many of you know, I suffer from pretty crappy self-esteem. I really just want to be liked and celebrated and found worthy... blah blah blah. I know, silly stuff. But trust me, this group and the people in it mean A LOT to me. It's not some silly game.

So surviving to the finals? To have a shot at WINNING something (I have never won anything in my entire life) would be the absolute best thing ever. Even just a shot at that, to think people like me enough to put me there... Would blow me away.

If you guys liked what I wrote, please consider voting for me this week? I was proud of my work. 17 entries in a matter of days?!? I usually spend days on one entry alone, perfecting it and everything. Under these circumstances, I put out some fine pieces, I think. I was really proud of them. And then I looked at the poll :/

I also wanted to give a shout out to my good friend n3m3sis42 who's also lagging in the poll and who was kind enough to support me this week as well. She is a great writer and I think you'd also enjoy her work, so if you have a moment, please check her out as well. She's a sweet girl who's helping me out, so I want to help her out too.

My sweetie, java_fiend is likely safe, but I don't want to get him eliminated if for some reason, ya'll decide to run over and vote for my friend and me :)

Also, since someone else is doing it... If you'd want to post the poll and help spread the word, it wouldn't bother me one bit. Don't feel obligated to do so... But if you've enjoyed my work and want to support me and my friends, please feel free to spread the word far and wide <3
