Investigative
data journalist
I’m passionate about connecting people to data.
At the California Reporting Project and the Community Law Enforcement Accountability Network I work with journalists, engineers, attorneys and academics to turn use-of-force and police misconduct records into data and impactful reporting.
At KQED, I worked on award-winning investigations examining fire risk, and uncovered the breakdown of emergency response systems, as well as how older people are increasingly living in fire-prone areas. I’ve built applications to meet daily audience needs, from fire, smoke and electrical outage maps to COVID-19 case rates, hospitalizations and deaths.
