Current Thoughts Swirling Around

A random mix of things on my mind before putting up the next "iPod" part.

Mom and I found where the bats are getting in from; an open window of the downstairs bedroom. We shut that window, locked it tight, and closed the door just in cace. This room is where we keep the Wii and all our tabletop games. A lot of my collection of movies is in there too.

I don't remember ever mentioning this before, but I might as well do so again for my newer LJ buddies; my family and I have many, many movies. The biggest movie library that I know of! There are three separate collections. My dad's very much a movie person, so I got that from him. He has his own collection in his room. Then there's the family collection in the living room, and some more of my dad's DVDs in there too--that's where we have the most. Last but not least, there's my collection in that downstairs spare room.

...I might start doing videos showing the different tabletop games I have. That would be interesting. I know I want to do a video of my movie collection, and some of the awesome Wii games.

I'd also like to mention that I've considered to do another video like the one I put in the previous entry, but more so on hawks, eagles, and falcons. I found this new hidden little talent inside of me. I also love animals, nature things, good quotes, and soundscape music. Combining all these things into something beautiful is epic to me. I'm definitely going to look up birds of prey quotes and pictures in a little while.

Organizing my thoughts, again.

I think most of my creativity has fallen into a bit of rut recently. Can't seem to get in the mood to get back to this silly idea I seem to like about two mischievous deities who meet and go into a feudal sort of conflict. Well, that's one part of my idea. The other part involves characters from video games I've been bouncing around with interacting with each other. (Because I often find that fun to do.) It's supposed to be some kind of amusing fanfiction thing. I'm positive that it will turn out entertaining if I keep at it.

I guess I just can't seem to get my creative thoughts out very well this week. Not just with my writing, but with my music too. This one instrumental I just started one night at random was going pretty good, and then somewhere towards the end I mess up. Trying to come up with the right beats and stuff to finish the new project up, but the whole thing ended up being more like noise than music. So, I might have to start all over again. I LIKE the three beats I found and put together. It sounds very good. I just feel I have to do different synth pads, instruments, and sound effects (maybe) with them.

Des, I managed to finish listening to part 1 of your INTJ-INTP speech without too much interruption, and heard about halfway through the second part. So far it's been very interesting, and amusing to listen to you both tell your stories about each other, how the two of you are together. So far, I can understand the connection, the click into place that makes you and Chris a loving couple.

I shall get back to that soon!

I also intend to add that through YouTube, there was this young woman who was reading some questions from an online forum. She answered them to share around others to define her personality type. I put "ISFJ" into the search box (to which I found out was my type through the personality quiz link I posted a while back) and I found this video. So far it's been interesting, and I find out I do agree with some of the things she says about herself and other people.

I think I'll try this questionnaire thing out tomorrow. I wrote down the 13 questions from this message board page into one of my notebooks. I'll make the video and put it up later, because that seems very interesting. I already started thinking about my answers to some of the questions.

Last but not least, it's a shame that the boardgaming meetup group over at Deale, MD is done. Pierce would rather fall back to this strategic World War II game he's enjoyed ever since he was 15. He's played it dozens of times before and went to tournaments. He just hasn't been overall happy about the turnout. Honestly, I'd be absolutely fine in playing with a group that never has usually from a few to five people. Having too many (like over twenty to thirty people) would likely be overwhelming. I'm thinking it was probably a very large group turnout that Pierce was hoping for, and it never happened. Some people in the Deale group came and enjoyed their time once, but never came back after that.

I might have to start a board/card/tile/game meetup group over at my store during the day on Saturdays. I know I could clear off one of the tables because there's not a whole lot of books on it and have it go from noon to 4PM or 5PM? On Friday nights at the meetups it goes from 7PM to 11PM. If I start my own meetup group, it could bring more people into my store and they'll see that I've got a wide selection of books that are mostly 1 dollar or 3 dollars, in case they'd be interested in buying them.

So, the more I think about that, the more I'll end up doing it. I need to find a community around here or just to go boardgamegeek.com and locate the Southern Marylander gamers.

Feeling all right...

I'm almost done with the Men, Women, and Relationships book by John Gray P.H.D. When I'm ready to start having a thirst of knowledge for anything on intimacy, I've got a book on that too.

I'll be 27 by Monday.

I'll see whether or not this guy is someone I could ever really trust by that day. If not then it's just not ever meant to be.

I don't really care about being money tight and being unable to go birthday shopping this year. I already have my gifts. I'll be off from work, I'll have a nice ham dinner, and new episodes of Chuck and The Cape will be on NBC that night. (The Cape is a very awesome new show. Epic with its humorous moments.)

My creative writing is gradually getting back to normal. RP wise I'm just focusing on paixaorpg until further notice. I'm glad it's a nice and laid back community there. With the curve balls I've been getting, it's just been hard writing much of anything.

Video gaming wise I've been playing Final Fantasy X. It's been ages since the last time I had that in my PS2.

When the heck am I going to get these other board game meetup videos off my hard drive and onto YouTube? These files have just been idling along and I haven't even converted them to the right format yet.

Maybe Tuesday I could start on that?
