Floundering around in the dark

This is my Fan-Fiction journal ...Not surprisingly that means that what will be found here in this space is fan fiction written by me. I only chose to move it to this space to spare the readers of my regular journal who aren't interested in reading slash and other types of fiction based in the many fandoms that make me go "squish" inside.

What are those fandoms you might ask? Well, I started with Stargate SG-1. I believe in various pairings and multiple alternate universes. I never dreamed I'd branch out from there...but I have.

My next foray was into Angel, the Series. I have recently started branching out again, with tentative forays into the world of Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Stargate Atlantis, Smallville, and Harry Potter. My current obsession is Supernatural (yes, if there is a hell, I'll be found in the very, very special one). I once insisted I'd never write RPS, but I've since let go of that small untruth. I'd like to maintain my innocence, but people laugh at me when I try.

I'm more comfortable in some fandoms than others, and I think that can be very evident in my stories. I'm usually game to try anything once, if I have a working knowledge of the canon and characters.

I've also done a number of "crossover" fics, bridging worlds that no sane person might...and some that were so well matched it was like sex...though that might be because they actually involved sex...and I've had a lot of fun doing crazy mash ups.

I take requests and challenges, sometimes ask for them...


I also have a sticky post at the top of my journal for people who would like a birthday fic from me. I make no promises, but I do try to give you what you want on your special day. If you want one, respond to the post with your fandoms/pairings/etc and I'll see what I can do. (I'm currently way behind due to real life getting me off track, but I aim to get caught up)

You can find me selling myself twice a year on Sweet Charity because I believe in charity work and I don't often have much money to give, so I give my skills instead. The spring auction is usually to benefit RAINN, the autumn auction varies.

So, what you will find here will be more of this...and maybe adventures in other fandoms as well as I find the inspiration. I will attempt to always lead in with basic info including rating information and spoiler alerts, and anything longer than a drabble behind a cut.

Please friend this journal if you want to keep up with my fiction, though I won't friend you back on this journal. I may friend you from my main journal though. I do all my journal reading from that LJ.

Feedback, constructive criticism, ego stroking and other communication is strongly encouraged. Requests and Challenges happily accepted. If you know of a community that would enjoy something here, let me know. If you want to rec something you liked here, go ahead...a link and a good word is a wonderful compliment (though a note to say you rec'ced it is nice too)! Oh, and I am actively recruiting banners, icons, pretty graphics of all varieties for any and all of these fandoms...I like my pretty boys...*pets the pretty boys*.
