Curriculum development of children's intervention programs is importance to support the implementation of effective learning and intervention program services. More related to the success of the mission of Children With Special Needs Serivce Unit Unesa to provide educational solutions for children with special needs in all circles. For the implementation of qualify and professional services, competency improvement support is needed in accordance with the characteristics, abilities and needs of the client. Associated with the development of curriculum programs, clients and families with special needs get the best and optimal service for their children. Curriculum development is specifically designed for children in this study using the 4D-Model development planning. This model was developed by S. Thagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel. The 4D Development Model consists of 4 main: (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, and (4) Disseminate. This research was conducted for 8 months, so based on the design of the development model, the research activities in the first year were approved in the implementation of 3 stages, (1) definition, (2) planning / design, and (3) development.

Reading and writing skills is coverage of more complex language skills of listening and speaking skills. We need the best approach in developing the literacy skills of children with hearing impairment. In some studies that focus on accuracy syntax hearing impaired children, it was found that they tend to use many of the same phrases over and over again in simple sentences, a little more complex sentences, and make lots of small mistakes in the use of sentence structure, word number, the use of pronouns and said pointer, and so on. This paper discusses several options approach in teaching reading and writing skills of deaf children, namely (1) conversations from heart to heart (perdati), (2) read ideovisual (percami), (3) read receptive, (4) the exercise of reflective, and (5) conversation or conversations linguistic grammar or also called reflective conversation grammar.

Hearing impairment in children may inhibit their language skill, which in turn disturbs their social interaction. Even though other potentialities in those children may be promising, such impairment may give difficulties in their improvement, a condition that is not in line with the objective of psychiatry. This research was aimed to identify the influence of speech training with a communicative approach to language skill, I.e., in on word identification, speech reading and pronunciation, in preschool deaf children. This research used a quasiexperimental pretest-posttest control group design. Results showed that the paired t-test indicated the significant influence of speech training in both groups, whereas, the t-test showed that speech training given to experimental group had significant influence compared to that given to control group.

The study investigated the emotion pattern in children with autism. Children with autism are considered to have disabilities in recognizing and expressing their emotion. Even though, latest studies show that actually, the children are able recognize and express basic emotions in their daily life. However, just a few in those studies explore emotional pattern in children with autism by look upon their behavioral responses. This is a qualitative research employed through observation with audiovisual records to explore three ten-year-age children with autism in Surabaya, Indonesia. The observation was conducted to observe emotional stimulus, responses of emotional stimulus in children with autism such as emotional reactions or emotional control in subject. The results found that human being, object, and condition could be stimuli that may cause emotional reactions. From the emotional reactions could be classified based on the subject's expressed emotions, namely positive emotions (i.e. happy, love, missing, and shy) and negative emotions (i.e. angry, scary, sad, and shocked). Deaf children experience obstacles in language development and speech because there is no sound imitation process. They need speech and language coaching in accordance with the level of hearing loss. Lack of understanding both oral and written language often causes deaf children to misinterpret something that can be a pressure for his emotions. This pressure can cause deaf children to show an attitude of self-closing, aggressive action and lack of confidence. The expected results of this activity are as follows: (1) Enriching the knowledge of special supervisor teachers about the characteristics of deaf learners, effective communication strategies for deaf learners, causes and classification of medical impairments, and total communication through the Indonesian sign language system (SIBI) for deaf learners, and (2) Enhancing skills of special counsellor teachers in communicating effectively with deaf learners and the application of total communication through the Indonesian sign language system (SIBI) for deaf students. The subjects of the training were school principals, inclusive coordinators, and special counselling teachers in 14 partner schools with 40 teachers who were trained over three days to gain knowledge and skills about the Indonesian Language Sign System (SIBI). The activities were conducted on campus and partner schools for three weeks according to the planned procedure by involving community service team members with the appropriate scientific background. The researchers, in these activities, were intended to make materials and gave comprehensive training including: (1) characteristics of deaf learners, (2) effective communication strategies for deaf learners, (3) causes and classification of medical impairments, (4) total communication through Indonesian sign language system (SIBI) for deaf students and (5) the practice of applying total communication through Indonesian sign language system (SIBI) for deaf students.

This research aims to produce a prototype of Signalong Indonesia based children's song animation video media for children with special needs as a solution for children with special needs in delays or communication constraints. This study aims to improve the quality of management and cooperation services that are responsive, accountable, and transparent. Based on this background, it is very necessary to have research on improving the quality of collaboration services at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Therefore, in this study the title "Development of E-CRM (Electronic Customer Relationship Management) University Cooperation Service System to Improve the Quality of Management and Services in the Field of Planning and Cooperation in Universitas Negeri Surabaya". The development of a management information system is one of the efforts that can be made to improve the quality of public services, both in general and in certain sectors, for example education, especially at times like this (COVID-19 pandemic), where community social activities switch to using assistance. technology. This study aims to develop an existing educational service in the Faculty of Education, State University of Surabaya to facilitate students in accessing all the needs regarding correspondence and is called the Academic Service Information System of the Faculty of Education, Unesa. This research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method, by applying nine of the ten steps proposed by Borg and Gall. The result of this research is that E-Service Faculty of Education Science is suitable or near perfect for use, with the result of each stage are as follows: (1) in the first testing phase (Preliminary Field Testing), the presentage of yield exceeds 30% in each category; (2) in the second testing phase, several obstacles were found, but can be resolved in the next stage; (3) in the last testing phase (Operational Product Testing), the presentage of yield exceeds 70% in each category, this mean that E-Layanan development is very useful. Also, with the existing of E-Layanan, academic service activities are greatly helped, especially on this Covid-19 pandemic period.

Adolescents with ADHD need serious handling to reduce their hyperactive Behavior. One strategy that is alleged to reduce this behavior is by implementing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of CBT and to analyze the effectiveness of CBT in reducing hyperactive behavior of adolescents with ADHD in Inclusive Junior High Schools. The implementation of this research used a pre-experimental research design with the One Group Pre-Test Post-Test research design by using the Vanderbilt ADHD Rating Scale behavior check instrument which is adopted by considering Indonesian language and culture. This research was a qualitative research with a single case study research design. The study was conducted at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. A growing number of children with intellectual disabilities attend inclusive schools in Indonesia. Previous research has suggested that teachers' type of school and experience influences their beliefs about inclusive education. This research collected questionnaire data from 267 Indonesian teachers and compared the responses from those working in inclusive, special and regular schools regarding their epistemological and pedagogical beliefs. The results showed that teachers in inclusive schools expressed stronger social constructivist beliefs than those in other schools. However, it was teachers' epistemological beliefs, rather than their type of school or experience, which were the significant predictor of their beliefs about inclusive education. The findings suggest that international epistemological research needs to have a more nuanced view of constructivist models of learning to better understand and inform how inclusive pedagogy is being enacted in different contexts.
