Podcast Season 3, Episode 1 – So Long As There Is Hope: Wonder Women in Classics and Comics with Natalie Swain

Dr. Natalie Swain

To kick off the third season of the Peopling the Past podcast, which focuses on women in the ancient Mediterranean, we are joined by Dr. Natalie Swain, whose work centres on applying theories of comic narratology to the poetry of Ovid. She specialises in the reception of classical culture in several modern genres, from comics to video games, and also teaches a course here at the University of Winnipeg on Classics and Comics!

Listen in, as Dr. Swain talks with us about comics that respond to the ancient word, and specifically those that are written by women creators, and feature women characters.
