I make custom 1" buttons for websites, events, bands, weddings, businesses, etc... They are great for gifts and low cost promotional items.

Being a longtime Livejournal user myself (11 years and counting!), I wanted to give something back to the community. Enter "LJDEAL" at checkout and you'll get 10% off your entire order.

This is being marketed towards college students but all you need is a valid .edu email address, so teachers and alumni can benefit from this too!

Now is a time that I wish I was still in college. Oh well, what can you do?

Hello all!

I'm still here, and very soon will finish my last exam of my Junior year at Penn State transitioning from Rehabilitation & Human Services to Labor and Industrial Relations.

I am keeping State College as my permanent place of residence, and, in fact, Wolf Hall is named after my eldest ancestor, George Wolf, who emigrated to Pennsylvania from Alsace-Lorraine, Germany/France in 1755, a full 100 years before PSU was founded. He was instrumental in proving free public education, so I am very much a well-traveled *local* here!

We're live, we're local, and we're playing Penn State a few times in the upcoming months, so you should probably check us out! : )

So on Monday, March 1st, I've booked a show that should hopefully be the beginning to a long run of them in the future. They're Indie Rock Mondays.

Two of the bands that I know of have vegan members in the band, and rather than just trying to guess what I can feed them all, I'd like some input. What places offer vegan friendly foods or serve vegan friendly foods?

If you're interested, the show is at Club Mezzanine (formerly the Cell Block/the Crowbar). The doors open at 8pm, and the show starts at 8:30. I'll make another post, soon.

So Pac Sun is having a battle of the bands, and my band "The Groundbreaking Ceremony" entered ourselves into three of the cities in which its being hosted. One of them is our very hometown of Happy Valley (State College). If you have a hot second, go to battleofthebands.pacsun.com and register to vote for us. It would really mean a lot. You can only vote once a day for us, in each city, but you can vote for us in every city in one day. Every vote truly counts here, so please help us out! Make sure a true State College band wins a contest in our own backyard!

Click the widget below to go straight to a page were you can vote for us!

Thanks!

Penn State is no longer safe. A growing horde of bloodthirsty corpses threatens existence as you know it. Perhaps it was an experiment gone awry, a random act of nature, or the unleashing of hell on Earth. Regardless, you and those remaining have a choice to make: fight to survive the outbreak or become the outbreak.

Non-Traditional Students and/or adult learners?

Hey all.

Ok, in my head, I don't think I've changed so much since I was first at Penn State at 19, but now I'm 38, and will be returning to PSU full-time this fall as a 'non-traditional' adult learner finishing up my BS in Psychology, then very likely going on for my M.Ed.

Are there any other older, non-traditional, students on this list?

I have three books that current bookstores are not buying from me... if you want them for a small fee... let me know

three books are

Israel since 1980 by Guy Ben-Porat

Israel/Palestine by Alan Dowty

The Israelis by Donna Rosenthal

The first two books are new... the last one is used, and very worn out when i got it.

Does anyone know where or if there are any lengthy pedestrian/bike trails in State College or the surrounding area? I'm looking for a path that is suitable for running 5-6 miles and doesn't cross too many main roads, if possible.
