Life After Suicide Loss Support Group

Life After Suicide Loss (LASL) Group is an 8-week, closed suicide bereavement group available to adults who have lost a loved one to suicide. The group is facilitated by CMHA PEI staff and includes an optional monthly support group called LASL Side-by-Side, which offers ongoing peer support. This eight-week program is offered twice a year (spring and fall), and registration is required.

Upcoming Training – Mental Health First Aid April 15 & 16

Our next Mental Health First Aid Training opportunity will be on April 15 & 16 in Charlottetown. Find upcoming Mental Health First Aid and ASIST Training dates, locations and times. Pre-registration and payment are required for these training workshops. These training sessions are critical resources within Island communities. They serve to educate individuals, groups, and organizations about different mental health conditions, and to teach life-saving skills to navigate situations related to those at risk of suicide.

Peer support is the process of disclosing personal lived experience and recovery history to provide support, guidance, and inspire hope for others experiencing similar situations with their mental health.
