What’s Pedaleo?
Pedaleo is THE European BIKEPACKING FESTIVAL, where people will ride in from all over Europe, following four epic new routes to connect with likeminded riders. It’s all about good vibes, great fun, and making awesome memories!
Is it expensive?
Probably the cheapest option to explore Switzerland! For just 35 CHF, you’ll get free camping for three days, access to all activities – workshops, live music, expo, social rides, fun games etc. Food and drinks will be also affordable at the event or bring your own picnic—no one’s stopping you!
Why Neuchâtel?
Because it’s a slice of Swiss paradise! A stunning lake, jaw-dropping Alpine views, and endless cycling routes, hotels close by for the comfort travellers. Train station is close by. Easy reachable from France and Germany.
Do I need to camp?
Not at all! If sleeping under the stars isn’t your thing, book a nearby hotel and roll into the event area whenever you want.
Where can I get my stamp card?
We will announce pickup points at the starting location, or you can simply download and print it yourself.
How can I return from Pedaleo?
By bike, if you’ve got the time!
If not, Switzerland is one of the best countries in the world for bike-friendly train travel. Almost all trains allow bikes without needing a bike box. Some routes require a bike reservation in advance, but many don’t — making it easy and flexible to travel by train with your bike.
Can I join without coming by bike?
Absolutely! If biking isn’t an option, just hop on a train to Neuchâtel. We’d love for everyone to skip the planes—Pedaleo is all about sustainability, after all.
Are minors allowed?
100%! Bring the kids along.
Does it take place if it rains?
Of course! Rain = stories you’ll never forget. But honestly, we’re betting on sunshine and hot lake swims. So pack your swimsuits and save your rain stories for other occasions!
From when to when can I camp at Pedaleo?
You can set up camp from Thursday 6th of August to Sunday 9th of August—plenty of time to soak in the vibes, enjoy the rides, and make unforgettable memories!
Which bikes are the routes designed for?
The routes are designed for gravel bikes, which also work well for touring and most e-bikes. You’re welcome to join with an MTB or road bike, but you may need to adjust the routes to suit your bike.
Can I camp in my van in the event area?
No, that’s not possible. But you can park just 50 m away in the Nid‑du‑Crô parking area. It costs 10 CHF per 24h. You can’t set up chairs or similar stuff, but sleeping in your van is allowed during the event.
