Yesterday my only sister passed away. It is over an eight hour drive and I am still considered to be highly contagious.  I have c-diff. I developed an abscess under my right arm and before I got to the hospital it broke.  they operated to remove it but infection spread thru my system and they had to dose me with gallons of antibiotics, which caused further problems. As a result, I spent the next 6 weeks in hospitals and nursing homes. As it was Saturday, I had to wait to go to the doctor.  Went today and he took one look at me and said it's not your back, YOU HAVE A MAJOR CASE OF SHINGLES. I dropped the open bottle and while grabbing for the bottle I dropped the dog.  He was ok. The medicine was all over the floor.<br \/>Then while spooning instant coffee into a cup I hit my arm and the coffee went all over the floor.  I cleaned that up.  While carrying my bowl of cereal and cup of coffee to the table I started to spill the coffee and as I was concentrating on that I spilled the cereal and milk. He immediately sent me to the emergency room.  I was admitted to the hospital.  Here is how my stay went.<br \/>Thursday 6am--someone grabbed my foot and yelled \"wake up\".  I came up with a jolt.  Turns out the woman in the bed next to me had gone \"CODE BLUE\".  This was a small room with a lot of equipment as it was in cardiac intensive care.  So some of the 15 people had to climb over me to work on her and I couldn't get out of the room.  She didn't make it.  Next we had a man running around screaming that this was his house and his property and he wanted us all out or he was getting his gun and calling the police.<br \/>They put a 94 year old woman in with me and she ripped open the curtains at 2am crying because this was not her house.  They had a bed alarm on her and the rest of the night was spent listening to it go off.<br \/>Next, we had an elderly man running the halls naked.  Then this am there was a woman in the room next door crying non stop \"I'm thirsty\".  When a doctor came in I told him to get me out of this place and let me go home where I could have a heart attack in peace and quiet.<br \/>And this is the most highly rated hospital in the area. They simply said the elephant had been <u>noticed<\/u> by some residents-- YA THINK!!  Nothing about where the elephant came from or what happened to it.  Do these so-called news people even go to journalism school?  One would think it might stir up some curiosity when a call came in to the local police about an elephant in the water. He was gasping for breath and his heart was pounding like crazy.  (he's 10).  I took him to the emergency vet. clinic as soon as they opened and they got him on oxygen and took x-rays.  He evidently has congestive heart failure.  They will keep him until Monday am as they are only open weekends and holidays when regular vets are closed.  I basically had to sign away over 2 months income in advance for treatment, but he's worth it. So last night while I was clicking through the channels before going to bed I came across something on SyFy (god I hate that name).  It was a show called Metal Hurlant Chronicles, or some such. Not well done. I Googled it and it comes from some graphic novel or comic.  What caught my attention was the male lead. He was dressed in black with wild dark hair that stood up all over and he had a large gun strapped to his thigh.  It took me a few minutes to realize it was Joe Flanigan (John Sheppard) of Stargate Atlantis. It happens on my \"recent entries\" and my \"friends\" pages.  And I can't back out.  I have to get off line and start over.  Sometimes the same thing happens again.  If I wait a while then I can get back on.  At first I thought I was doing something to cause it, but it is not me.
