Title: Cold and Broken Hallelujahs Summary: Patrick hated to see Pete like this. He’d hit bottom. Sobbing. Clinging. Contemplating. But Patrick would just hold him near until he’d stop. He never really stopped though. The monster would just go dormant. Author: sweetnovicane Rating: G Author's Notes: This was inspired by repeat listenings to Imogen Heap's cover of 'Hallelujah'(if you want an upload, just ask). I'm not usually a Pete/Patrick writer, but this really jumped out at me. I think I was actually trying to get a Wash/Zoe(Firefly) story out of it. And I had to include Patrick singing some of it. Who DOESN'T want to hear Patrick sing 'Hallelujah'? Fairly short...Lemme know what you think...
Title: Light Sleeper Author:marissafm Rating: PG just a couple mild-cuss words. Paring: Pete/Patrick Summary: One stormy night, one scared Pete, and one Patrick to hold onto. This is for the Platonic Sleeping Challenge Disclaimer: Not true A/N: Title is a song from Hawthorne Heights and the lyrics in italics are from Hawthorne Heights' Light Sleeper as well. A/N2: So from now on I’m using a fake cut.
First off, wow, we've really grown since 2003. Lots of members and a lot of fics coming in. Things have also changed. nolessdefeated and urgency were the starters for this community and the original Maintainers and Moderators. However, due to mostly their busy schedule, they allowed me to fill their spot as both. Which brings me to revealing at the end of the week I'll be picking two members of this community to moderate the submission queue section because my hands are full with everything else concerning this community. Please don't IM me and ask or beg me to be one of the moderators.
Also, I just added the sidebar to remind you of the rules. Since there are a lot of submissions coming in, it's necessary for things to continue running smoothly. Which means: PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES! Putting the name of your fic in the Subject helps me with keeping the Memories in order and to be done quickly and neatly as possible. The lj-cut is listed under the rules you can't miss it. [edit] Sidebar currently doesn't seem to want to show up on IE, I'm looking for a way to fix this so bear with me. [/edit]
I'm also tired of new comers and people who have been around since I started the usage of Tags. It is not a hard concept to ask someone how to use them because you don't. And to look at the tag list before you add a new tag, the link is right up there on the sidebar. The chances are there's already a tag for everything else except your title name, so look before you add something.
Don't whine or complain to other people about your fic being rejected. There are always reasons why: [x]I'm tired of bad lj-cuts. If your fic was accepted and we find your cut is not working, it will be deleted.
[x]Rich text isn't also very reliable so try not to use it. I won't take take fics that have html markups.
[x]Submissions that don't follow the rules will be rejected. You can't miss them, they're on the community page.
[x]We do read fics before we post them, any fics that have a lot of errors such as typos, they won't be accepted and we will tell you that you need a beta.
I know this seems harsh but it's effective to keep this community running smoothly for both all of you members and myself. So please, don't be an idiot. Follow the rules and ask people if you're unsure about something.
Title: Pete's Life as a Death Cab for Cutie Song Summary: It's five years in the making. Author: one900 Rating: R, for language Note: I've heard/read that they don't drink and such, because they're good boys, but I figure, they were young once, they were curious, they were boys, so there could have been some experimentation, yes? Many many moons ago? I hope. ;)
Title: Sleeping In the Light, Walking in the Dark, Living in Hell (6/8) Author: ppprmintpatrickspooningxcorex Rating: R Summary: “Come on; let’s go do the whole ‘You better run, I’m a vampire’ thing.” A/N: *sigh* it’s almost the end. I’m trying to decide if I regret it or not.
