This is a hands-on note repeat midi rack, heavily inspired by a fantastic mode in Koala Sampler. Just touch and swipe between pads to play 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 note with the audio source of your choice. It has a integrated sequencer to record your pad mangling to a clip.
Offers two modes:
Rigid: sticks to odd grid cells, there are occasional glitches with the first played note.
Free: starts whenever you press the pad. Bit unpredictable on faster rates, but still quite fun.
Detailed instructions are included in the readme section of the module.
Known issue:
For some reason, the sequencer is not able to record notes faster than 1/16. The only workaround I’ve found so far is to record automation on faster pads, but it’s messy and really not convenient to fix and edit. Any help to fix this will be much appreciated.
I’m planning to add pitch and velocity on pad axis, but I want to sort the issue first.
