A port of the Critter and Guitari patch Children of Sample for Orac. Instead of using the aux button to navigate the patch, there are now 3 pages. Main, Edit, and Record.
The main page contains the global start and length controls as well as the controls for the delay.
The edit page will give access to individual parameters for every key to adjust speed, volume, start point, and length.
The record page is where you will record the sample to be acted upon. Click the aux while on the page to arm recording and as soon as a volume threshold is crossed, recording begins. There is a maximum length of 10 seconds recording time and will stop automatically. If you are recording a sample shorter then 10 seconds, change the page to either Edit or Main to stop recording.
Additionally, outside samples can be loaded on the record page. The sample selection works similarly to OracLoops and Loopy. You are able to select a directory, sample, and set the volume. When using outside samples, you are not constrained by the 10 second time limit.
Had a lot of fun with this module & orhack. Just a dumb question: Are the recordings made with the module are saved somewhere? Explored the media und samplekids forders and couldnt find them anywhere. Thanks in advance
Hey @arkanisgath I don’t believe I implemented save functionality in this patch. The functionality could probably be grafted from Loopy fairly easy if you want to take a crack at it

Okay thanks for your reply. everything works perfectly, like kalin said. Was just curious. Maybe i finally have to learn PD, would be nice to have a high pass filter in this patch 😀…
Is it possible to have this module remember my parameters for each key on the Edit page after switching presets or powering down? Also, is it possible to disable looping of the samples when keys are held? I was trying to get this to function like Segmenti, which I’ve yet to see an Orac port for. Tried my hand at PD, but in the time I have available to devote to it, I haven’t really gotten the hang of it, unfortunately. Thanks for any input.
