Organelle screen management

If, like me, you’re totally annoyed when you need more than one screen on the Organelle, then check out this patch.

And if you’re also totally annoyed when you want to save and load a preset, you’ll find a very convenient solution for that too.

April 2025, 1.2: Added a [queryScreen] abstraction so that a user can confirm an action by pressing the encoder button or reject the action just by doing nothing.

The patch itself doesn’t make any sense and is only for demonstration purposes. You can set two frequencies (two oscillators) and generate a sound with AUX. There’s a mixer for the two oscillators.

The patch only has two screens and an info screen to keep the example as simple as possible. But I think everything important is explained. Open main.pd, where you’ll find everything described. Open main-oui.pd to test directly on the desktop. All UI components are located in the “ux” subdirectory. Presets are saved in the “presets” subdirectory.

I’m happy to answer any questions in the forum.

Thank you. Very very useful for those of us who are alergic to encoder based menus. I use a more granular system but this could easily be modified using keys.
