MidiMod is a simple midi utility that began life as a quick note transpose tool: I eventually added more features to take advantage of the additional knobs and the XY pad.

Controls
Trans: Transpose notes up to 11 steps up or down
Octave: Transpose notes up to 4 octaves up or down
Chan: Force midi data to a specific channel. (“Pass”: channel passes through unchanged)
Low/High: Set a specific note range where the incoming midi data is modified
Root/Scale: Set a root note and scale for note tone quantization
XCC/YCC/XYCHAN: Set the CC values and send channel for the XY Pad
Humanize Button: Enable small (or large) changes to incoming MIDI velocity and note delay
Panic Buttons: Send “all notes off” messages to the most recent channel or to all channels

* The script sends an all notes off message when adjusting knobs to avoid stuck notes. Setting “PanicKnobs” to false in the code turns this feature off

* If enabled, the humanize function makes small random changes to a note’s velocity and note delay. The random functions are weighted so that lower numbers in the max range are more likely. For velocity, adjust the velShiftMax value to a higher or lower number to increase or decrease the shift. The range goes both ways, so a velShiftMax value of 10 creates a range from -10 to +10). DelayMax sets the maximum note delay, and delayChance determines the chance any particular note will be delayed.

* You can also enable and disable “LogEvents” using a knob on the shift screen. When LogEvents is true the log will display All Notes Off messages as well as the velocity and timing changes the current Humanize settings are applying to incoming notes…
