Vector Borne Diseases

Vectors are living life forms that can transmit irresistible maladies between people or from creatures to people. These diseases are infections transmitted by the bite of infected arthropod species, such as mosquitoesticks, triatomine bugssand flies and blackflies. Some examples to these kinds of diseases are malariadengue feverYellow fever and plague. Arthropod vectors are cold-blooded and are sensitive to climatic factors which influences on survival and reproduction rate of vectors. Vector-borne diseases are widespread in Europe and are the best studied diseases associated with climatic change.
