| There has been a significant loss of people here.
Anyone caring to step up to the new positions that have opened up?
I understand that the Regent has constructed important roles for those that are interested.
|
| [ His voice is low and monotone, almost too hard to hear. It's painful for him to speak. He doesn't want to, but the words must be said. Despite him being a wreck. ]
We've returned from our search. Unfortunately, to those who are friends of Ms. Aerith, I'm afraid she did not survive outside the walls of Paradise. I apologize for your loss and wish we could have gotten to her sooner.

I'm also-- [ He must swallow and take a breath. It's gotten harder to breathe, much less utter these words. ] Pained to say, that Commander Jason Reed did not survive this mission.
...I'm so sorry.

| There seems to be a great deal of people missing. Can anyone account for anyone? ( Message errorCollapse ) | |
|
| [You can't see it, but Vincent is in the church--he has been this whole time, actually. Ever since Aerith's disappearance, or at least a few short hours after it. He knew everything, unfortunately. Not wishing for his location to be known unless someone happens to come by, he decides to use the text option instead.]
It's regrettable that she is not around to enjoy the sight of raining flowers.
[It's obvious to those that know of Aerith well enough to understand what he's talking about. If not, someone could always just...ask.]
|
| ( TEXT to Regent: )
I know we haven't really spoken before, my name is Aerith Gainsborough. I thought you would be best to ask; Is there a way for civilians to go outside the wall?
( end TEXT. )
[The audio feed switches on and Aerith takes a slow breath.]
Hm, from what I understand some people haven't slept very well. Maybe... it's just everything that's happened. I'd offer to help, but the best I can do is sing a lullaby. [She laughs lightly, doing her best to sound cheerful.] But even that might just make it worse.
I wonder... Now that the city has changed, is there someplace that can grow flowers well?
|
| [There's...a lot of coughing. Which finally emerges as Tifa's croaking voice - she sounds as if she's swallowed a cheese grater.]
...Cl-Cloud...?
[More coughing.]
...Cloud? [She clears her throat and tries again.] Aerith?
[Pause.]
Yuffie? ...you guys...you guys okay?
|
| [He's slept longer than he's ever slept before here. Having been on the go, constantly, and the stamina of using the FullCure for Zack (not that he would ever hesitate to do yet again if need be) he was simply drained.
These past weeks have been nothing but terror and stress for everyone in Paradise and now that it was finally over he felt nothing but relief. Shamefully so, as it were, how could he feel relief when Cissnei was still M.I.A, Sephiroth and Cloud's battle -the aftermath of Cloud's madness- and the fact that this still was not Gaia.
Though, as the city shifted, there seemed to be an overtone of hope, dare one believe it.]
Unfortunately the casualties remain, however the remedy is acknowledged. [A bare palm rubbed down the front of his face before he continued.] A role call would be appreciated, for everyone's benefit.
|
| Even if the morrow is barren of promises. Nothing shall forestall my return.
[ The words are uttered quietly, lacking his usual flair. A touch of somnolence lingers in his tone, the drugs in his system still in effect. Having been finally released from the clutches of those watchful nurses at the clinic, the sight awaiting him as he wearily pushed through those double doors didn't seem as terrible as it should have. Nor did the nauseating stench of death and decay. Genesis seemed to exist in his own world, glazed blue orbs staring at everything and nothing. ]
I wonder...
[ There's an ominous noise in the background followed by dull, clumsy movements through the mud. Hot, heavy breath filters through the transmission. A wordless, rasping noise demanding its desire. Whatever it is, is close enough to be able to breathe down his NoC. Though what's further strange is that Genesis is allowing this.
A sudden ear splintering crash ends the transmission. ]

| With the passing of Night 1, a day of lingering – lethargic, even – zombies come to a noticeable decrease in numbers. That is because of the those good citizens that have put in effort to eradicate them, but not without casualty, unfortunately. However, by the second night after the first initial zombie attack, there is nothing but that eerie silence.. save for the beating of your heart, and the whimper of your sorrow. Oh be still, ever more, be still, for there is such more, ever more. The howl of the wind picks up the deeper cry of gurgled mewls and moans that shake the earth's very ground with a vibration that will send tremors long into your years. The zombies, they are no more, they have been taken care of – those lingering lost melting bodies have been seen to upon a greater evil. The GhoulsShooting them once isn't going to stop them. No, they've consumed the weaker zombies to replenish their own decayed skin, they are fewer than the zombies but they are stronger than them. They, as well, have grown tired of them and now look to living flesh to make them even .. s t r o n g e r. They can open doors, climb stairs, even ration a fleeting thought or two to reach their food – you. Do not give them the means to become more than what they already are, surely you will regret it. [ ooc: The ghouls will not be easy to kill, your character will have at least needed to kill three zombies in order to kill the ghouls. If your character has not killed three or more zombies, than your character will need to make friends quickly with another character that has killed three or more zombies. Good luck. And don't forget to log your kill counts. This Night will end July 28 and Night 3 will start July 30. Threads will be available here, or you may start new ones yourself, of course, here or in the community.] - Tags:, , , !event, † dante sparda, † jason "quake" reed, † killua zoldyck, † sebast, † sephiroth, † undertaker, axel, kairi, tseng

| [For a moment, there's just the sounds of footsteps. The person in possesion of this NOC is trying to figure out where he is]
This isn't the Reactor...how hard did I hit my head?
[A moment of silence, with his just his breathing, before he speaks up into the device] Is there anyone listening to this? This is SOLDIER First Class Zack Fair. What is this place? And how did I--whoa! [He's just encountered the wandering zombies. Good thing he still has his Buster Sword. Anyone want to give the puppy a helping hand? Or a smack over the head?]
