As in the previous editions, the conference is also open to the young generations of Egyptologists (MA required), who will have a great opportunity for sharing their research with more experienced scholars, in an environment that will hopefully stimulate the growth and refinement of our discipline.
The main focus is currently undergoing research in all fields of Egyptology, such as:
- history and chronology from prehistory to the Arab conquest
- archaeological research
- artefacts (analysis, interpretation, iconography, typology etc)
- museum collections
- language and literature
- art
- mythology and religion
- anthropology, forensic and radiological research
- archaeobotany, palaeozoology and palaeoecology
- history of Egyptology
- Aegyptiaca, Egyptomania and reception of ancient Egypt
Each presentation shall last 20 minutes. The official language of the conference is English.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is the 31st of December 2022, with notification of acceptance by the 1st of February 2023. Abstracts should consist of no more than 500 words and should also contain 3 to 5 keywords. Please send the application to: [email protected]
