About
I’m Daniel, and I live in the UK where I work as a technical architect specialising in Microsoft Entra, Intune and Microsoft Graph. I’ve been doing this for years now, and I still genuinely love working with these technologies every day.
Since July 2023, I’ve been a Microsoft MVP in Security, which honestly still feels a bit surreal. It’s brilliant recognition, but more importantly, it means I get to work even more closely with Microsoft and the community.
How This All Started
Back in 2020, I started writing blog posts pretty much by accident. I was helping mates study for Microsoft exams and thought it might be useful to share what I’d learnt online. Turns out, quite a few people found it helpful.
What began as exam prep content has grown into something much bigger. These days, I write about the stuff I’m genuinely passionate about, like Microsoft Entra, Intune and especially automation with Microsoft Graph PowerShell. There’s something really satisfying about helping organisations work smarter, not harder.
What You'll Find Here
Everything on ourcloudnetwork.com comes from my own experience. I don’t use AI to blindly write content or come up with ideas because, frankly, you can tell when someone hasn’t actually done the work themselves. When I write about configuring conditional access policies or automating device management, it’s because I’ve done it in real environments and probably made a few mistakes along the way.
I’m pretty upfront about sponsored content. If someone’s paying me to write about their product, you’ll know about it straight away. But here’s the thing: I’ll still give you my honest opinion, whether they like it or not. My reputation matters more than any sponsorship deal.
The Book
In 2024, I published “Microsoft Graph PowerShell for Administrators.” Writing a book wasn’t something I’d planned, but I kept seeing administrators struggling with Graph PowerShell when it could genuinely make their lives easier. The book covers everything from the basics through to proper automation patterns that actually work in the real world.
Let's Connect
I’m pretty active on LinkedIn and Twitter if you fancy a chat about Microsoft tech, or just want to say hello. I try to respond to messages when I can, though I’ll admit I’m better at technical questions than small talk!
The Microsoft community has given me so much over the years, so if I can help you solve a problem or learn something new, that’s what it’s all about really.
