Sengoku Japan Props 0.2

Heya!

This is version 0.2 of my Japanese platformer asset pack. It was made in Aseprite, with assets sized at 32x32 (some are larger but scaled accordingly).

I aimed to keep this pack as historically accurate as possible—this influenced the color palette, sizes, and item choices.

What's Included

Version 0.1

War & Samurai Props

• Jinbaori Stand (陣羽織掛け) – Samurai armor stand
• Katanadana (刀棚) – Katana stand
• Sashimono (指物) – Small flag
• Nobori (幟旗) – Large flag (IRL it's three times human height, scaled to twice for gameplay reasons)

Shrine & Outdoor Props

• Torii Gate (鳥居) – Small custom torii (about twice the player's height)

Version 0.2 (New Additions!)

Household Props

• Chabudai (ちゃぶ台) – Low wooden table

Shrine & Outdoor Props

• Komainu (狛犬) – Guardian lion-dog statue
• Saisenbako (賽銭箱) – Offering box for Shinto shrines
• Basin (手水鉢, Chōzubachi) – Stone water basin for purification

Tweaks

• Slightly adjusted the Katanadana and armor on the Jinbaori Stand

Spritesheet Organization

I've categorized the assets into four sections:

• Top Left – Household props (e.g., chabudai)
• Top Right – War and samurai (e.g., armor, katana, flags)
• Bottom Left – Shrine and outdoor (e.g., torii gate, komainu, saisenbako, basin)
• Bottom Right – Future additions (reserved for expansion)

License

You can use these assets for free and commercial projects. You can't use them for NFTs, gambling, illegal activities, NSFW, or extreme gore. Credit is optional but always appreciated.

Future Plans & Feedback

I'm planning to add walls, floors, sakura trees, and more in future updates. If this pack gets enough attention, I may make it paid—but for now, it's free.
