Apache OpenOffice Beta is the pre-release edition of the Apache Software Foundation’s open-source office suite. It includes Writer (word processing), Calc (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics), Base (databases), and Math (formula editor). Centered on the OpenDocument Format (ODF), it opens and saves to many popular file types, including legacy Microsoft Office documents, and can export to PDF.
This beta build gives early adopters access to upcoming features, performance improvements, and bug fixes ahead of the stable release. Because it is still under development, you may encounter issues or incomplete functionality. Testing and feedback from users are essential to improving quality and stability before general availability.
OpenOffice Beta is free to download and use, runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, supports extensions and templates, and is maintained by a global community under the Apache License 2.0.
