Terms of Service
Last updated: December 12, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of OpenClip and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the information you provide when registering and for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. The Service
OpenClip provides tools that help you upload videos and generate short‑form clips, captions, and other outputs. The Service may change over time, and features may be added, removed, or modified.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of videos and other content you upload (“User Content”). You grant OpenClip a limited license to host, process, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and process your User Content and that doing so does not violate any law or third‑party rights.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Uploading content you do not have rights to.
- Using the Service to create or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing material.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service.
- Accessing the Service through automated means not provided by OpenClip.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features require a paid subscription or credit purchase. Prices and billing terms are shown at checkout. Payments are processed through third‑party payment processors. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
7. Third‑Party Services
The Service may rely on third‑party providers (for example, hosting, analytics, or payment services). Your use of those providers may be subject to their terms.
8. Beta and Experimental Features
We may offer features labeled beta or experimental. These are provided “as is” and may be changed or discontinued at any time.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we must do so to protect the Service or other users.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that outputs will be error‑free or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenClip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where OpenClip is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes unless applicable law provides otherwise.
