This report concludes there is substantial evidence to suggest that Donald Trump’s rallies did facilitate collective identity and empowerment among his supporters. Although the research and ideas discussed are somewhat contemporary, meaning there are limitations concerning the replicability and reliability of such research.
Recommendations for future research focus on addressing the lack of diverse sources and narratives in research surrounding political enquiry and to further investigate empowerment in regard to a social and political context.
