We love snark and sarcasm, but even we have morals. Personal attacks include, but are not limited to: a.) serious threats towards anyone of any kind, b.) derogatory/racist/homophobic comments made about another member's personal life, physical appearance, lifestyle, etc. c.) sending out a flood of nasty emails and/or comments for the sole purpose of belittling a member, d.) posting another members' personal information (personal photographs without permission, phone numbers, etc.), e.) making icons/posts/etc. for the sole purpose of triggering another member, etc.

These rules may apply to comments/posts made in other communities/avenues of the internet if the sole purpose is geared to hurt an ontd_ai member or plot against the community.

It does not matter whether the person who is getting attacked comes from ontd_ai, another community/forum, or is just some random person on the internet. An attack is an attack. Furthermore, if a fellow member does a not-so-cool thing, it does not give you immunity to start harassing him/her. Cyberbullying is a crime and we will lodge complaints with lj_abuse or authorities if necessary.

Keep your news up-to-date, your commentary witty, and your post neat and viewer friendly, or else the entry you worked long and hard on might get scrolled. Always use lj-cuts when appropriate. If your media is huge, plentiful, NSFW, or you got a huge wall of text, cut it. No more than one reasonably-sized pic or video outside a cut. Got your info/media from somewhere else? SOURCE IT.

Finally, screening/deleting other people's comments is not cool. Don't censor others. If you have a problem with what someone said, contact the mods.

We have an OT/Fuck Captcha/Insomiacs post running 24/7 for your pleasure. Special posts (music recommendation, TMI, post your destktop,etc) are cool if things are slow, but make sure at least one week has passed between topics, so check the tags/dates first. Also, don't be ~elite~ and make appreciation posts for a specific member or give shout outs to your bff.

Please note: Only mods are allowed to make Anon Posts, Capslock Confessionals, and Love Posts. If someone else makes any of those, they may be deleted. NO MEMBER PICTURE POSTS ALLOWED.

Otherwise, intro posts, butthurt posts, personal posts, individual fanfiction posts, requests/questions that can be Googled or found via tags, posts featuring links to personal journals and all that good stuff is so last summer and if it we take the time to read your newbie ways and we don't laugh, we will get really angry and make a header about what a loser you are.

Well first of all, what kind? If it's Gokey, GTFO. In general, nudity is fair game in After Dark posts with a NSFW tag, but try to be respectful to other members and don't spam hardcore porn in regular posts or on the main page. Finally got ahold of that Kradam sex tape? By all means share, just put it under a cut with a NSFW warning, and take e-mail notifs off that post or YOU'RE GOING TO DIE.

Make sure you don't plot against LJ's TOC or else Frank will find you and send you a strongly worded email. Also, we are not an MP3 sharing community. Absolutely no file sharing of any media (MP3s, videos, etc) that can be purchased legally in the United States. Any sharing of ANY other media must be in a locked post or will be deleted. We also do not support hacking of any kind. We love our rares, but DO NOT bring us anything that was hacked from a personal/private account of any kind.
