COMMUNITY
Community isn’t just one of our pillars—it’s the heart of everything we do. From local partnerships to fan‑powered fundraising, nearly every dollar raised stays right here in the Coachella Valley, supporting the people, organizations, and neighborhoods that make this region home.
Through grants, events, outreach, and hands‑on programs, we work to meet real needs in real time, helping build a stronger, more connected, and more resilient valley.
What Community Means to Us
Our Community pillar focuses on creating meaningful impact where it matters most—locally. We partner with nonprofits, schools, and families to deliver support that lifts people up, strengthens connections, and helps our neighbors thrive.
Whether it’s providing essential items, supporting youth programs, funding community services, or showing up during moments of need, our work reflects the spirit of the valley we call home.
Every auction bid, every raffle ticket, every donation, and every act of generosity helps fuel programs that directly benefit our community. Through game‑worn jersey auctions, special events, raffles, and donor‑driven initiatives, the Foundation reinvests hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the region.
Our fans, partners, and donors make this impact possible—each season, you play an essential role in changing lives across the Coachella Valley.
Community Allocations Committee
Our Community Allocations Committee ensures resources are directed where they can do the most good. This diverse team of community members reviews grant applications, assesses mission alignment, and collaborates to make funding recommendations that strengthen the valley.
What the committee does:
- Reviews grant requests from local nonprofits
- Evaluates alignment with our pillars: Community, Education & Access to Hockey
- Recommends funding decisions that maximize local impact
Season of Giving
Supporting Families During the Holidays
Each year, during our Season of Giving, Firebirds fans help support families across the Coachella Valley by participating in our annual canned food drive benefiting FIND Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring non‑perishable items to Firebirds home games or drop them at the Berger Foundation Iceplex Welcome Center.
Together, we help fight hunger and bring hope to local families during the holiday season.
Community Impact in Action
From grant funding to outreach events, our community programs create measurable, meaningful change. Every project, every partnership, and every initiative is grounded in our commitment to serve our valley with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
Whether we’re supporting classroom needs, assisting local nonprofits, providing access to hockey programs, or rallying around families in need, One Valley Foundation is dedicated to uplifting the community we proudly represent.
