AHPC X - For a Friend - 10mm Romano-British Horse Archers

Its Challenge Island time again, even though I've not completed my evil Snowlord Challenge!!
Fancy wanting me to actually play a game with the figures I've spent the last 5 years painting up and boring you lot to death with????
I dunno how he does it?

Anyway I leave Snowlords peak and trundle down the slope to O'Gardy's Gulch!

"Over the years I have enjoyed seeing others paint and donate models for others. It inspired me to do the same and it was most enjoyable. So, paint a miniature or piece of terrain for a friend (does not have to be a fellow Challenger)."

So I thought I'd do one last 10mm unit for James and his brilliant For Joshua Project.

These are Romano-British Horse Archers from Kallistra

They painted up pretty easy to be honest
There are 16 figures so should earn me 32 points plus another 30 for the Challenge Island  entry.

So a total of 65 points' pushing back up to No31

Previously in another For Joshua post I mentioned that Evil Games Master Postie also bought and
painted up some figures.

He wanted to something he'd never painted so he chose Kalistra Skeletons.

AHPC X - 10mm Trojan Chariots - For Joshua

I picked these figures up at Warfare in Reading from Newline Designs. These Trojan Chariots
will be posted on to James at Mad Tin Hatter Blog, to add to his For Joshua project. They will make up part of the Human army in his epic Fantasy v Human project. They are not painted up historically and I chose to make them quite colourful unlike the usual cow hide chariots.

And no Dave, they're not on giant bases either!
I've left them unbased as per James' request. Yes they were a bugger to set up, as they're not glued down, my fat sausage fingers kept knocking them over time and time again!!!!

I'm not actually sure of their points value I think its......

16 points x 8 Chariots,
16  points x 16 Horses and
16 points x 16 men.

I earned 60 points for these which pushed me up to 28th place.

AHPC X For Joshua - 10mm Romano British Warriors

A few months ago back in September fellow Challenger James, very sadly lost his
unborn son Joshua.
James is trying to raise money for the local hospital where his wife stayed.
In memory of his son he had an amazing idea....

"My current idea is a 10mm project - fantasy undead and orcs versus the 'free people'. The free people would be eclectic - a mix of whatever anyone wanted to contribute or paint that fitted the 'fantasy' setting. Arthurian knights, Elves, Dwarfs, Humans of any variety, Lizardmen, etc, etc - anything and everything from medieval or late medieval model ranges or fantasy ranges.

The baddies would be in black with a little red.

The set would then do some of the wargames shows in the UK, as a display or demo game.

The whole project would then be raffled (or auctioned) off - The proceeds would then go towards an appropriate charity in honour of my little boy whom I will never get a chance to share my hobby with."

I spoke to Rejects Lee and Postie and explained what had happened, they both agreed that they'd like to help out and would paint some figures up. So at Warfare in Reading we all bought some figures.
These are Hordes and Heroes from Kallista Romano British Warriors.

So if any of you guys n gals would like to help out please do so.

It's my first ever time painting up 10mm figures, I think I need new glasses????
There are 32 10mm figures giving me 32 points
