Thank You!!!

A belated but genuine thank you for the great response to Wave 105! Your continued support is what keeps us exploring different ideas, developing new assortments and expanding the line with our fellow makers. The fact that we're still busy after nearly 18 years is a testament to your dedication and partnership throughout all the dimensions Glyos has traveled through. Words will never cover how grateful we are over here, especially as the larger world shifts faster and faster all around us.

The exploration of the Traveler is the subtle theme we're concentrating on for 2025, and multiple special collaborative projects are entering into their final stages as I write this (hence the delay in checking in). If you like Pheyden and the Travelers, then this should be a fun year to rumble around in.

Speaking of crossovers, make sure to head over to the Toyfinity site tonight, March 28th, at 9:30PM EDT for a new assortment of Manglors action! For those who read our last comic with the amazing Dillon Wheelock and saw the pin up by painting powerhouse Sen, you'll get a chance to have life imitate art with a couple of John's latest monstrosities! A special extra thanks goes out to Erwin Papa for his continued contributions to the Glyos world. You'll get to see even more of his exceptional work in the year to come.

The current release schedule here is to have a small round of new/old figures available in mid-April (long time folks should especially get a kick out of what's on deck), with a normal sized assortment set for late May. We're actively pulling the sizes of the waves in a bit while we see how the current international situation plays out. This also means more Buildstation type lower priced options surfacing within the waves this year, to hopefully balance the rising costs of things. A little more burger thinking to go along with the steaks.

I tried to keep it brief, as not to torture, but thank you once again for sticking with us as we push the engines!

More story bridge related fun to check out as we rumble up to the new wave! This was a satisfying puzzle to solve and has a number of secret options to swap around. I imagine this heavy colossus causing some major programming shifts in Argen's perspective on what constitutes definable mechanical "life".

Kydrothi Hyper Phase

Waellex Edgebreaker Unleashed Reverse

When the Kydrothi and Waellex break through the Edge of Space they do so packed tightly within their biomolecular tachyon charged protective "Intruder Suits", which are analogous to what a Sarvos Type Traveler utilizes to a lesser effect.

The reasons for the armor are multifold, but the primary purpose is to keep some form of control over the Kydrothi and Waellex, as each suit is outfitted with a "kill switch" that is designed to terminate or paralyze the user if direct orders are not followed. The trade off is access to enhanced power, speed and near invulnerability, but at the cost of the user's complete freedom. This is exactly what the Sarvos Type Travelers must contend with, though some have learned how to beat the kill switch, thanks again to the intervention of the Delphi.

Kydrothi Edgebreaker Unleashed

The Intruders are in actuality the equivalent of what a Traveler is and represents, but they herald from two "older" and completely different "Systems" that exist Beyond the Edge of Space. They have been summoned from their mother systems by the Elder Masters to come to the Glyos System and regain control.
The Elder Masters are near omnipotent in their scope and their vision, but cannot physically gain entry into the worlds that they create themselves. Therefore, their bidding is carried out by the "First Children", which began with the Kydrothi, the Waellex and the youngest of the trio, the Delphi. Each race was sent to a newborn system, charged with guiding and manipulating the lifeforms of each separate system according to the plans of the Elder Masters.
Only the Delphi dared to eventually rise against the harsh reign of the Elder Masters, rebelling when their own "children", the Armorvor, were ordered destroyed by the Elder Masters. Through the intermittent and unexplained appearance of the dimension bending Zorennor Rift, the Delphi found a way to hide their Armorvor from the vision of the Elder Masters, who somehow could not see into the Rift itself.
To replace the Delphi after their rebellion, the Elder Masters created the Traveler, a less powerful but more controllable race of beings than the three races of the First Children. Even though the Traveler race was intentionally designed to obey more easily than their predecessors, they began to also awaken to the cruelty of the Elder Masters, thanks to the intervention of the Delphi, who had become more powerful while within the Zorennor Rift, gaining a new mastery of time space through the use of forgotten Dimension Gate technology.

Intruder Edgebreakers

Sincrodrone Eidymos

Sincro Phase once existed in a different form, known then as Hyper Phase Pheyden. During this segment of his life, he encountered the first known "Lost Sincrodrones", choosing to defend them against the time traveling Queen Kirallius and her followers, who had set out to eliminate the Sincrodrones due to their eventual "future corruption" at the hands of the abstract mechanical entity known as Argenesis, the ruler of the Gendrone Empire in the timeline Kirallius travelled from. In a brutal confrontation, Hyper Phase was able to stop the Kirallius Incursion by allowing himself to embrace the Villser Virus within and transform into Hyper Phase Pheyaos.

As repayment for his help, the Sincrodrones tried to assist Hyper Phase in finding a cure for his Villser Virus infection. Using their ability to mechanically "procreate" new Sincrodrones, they granted Hyper Phase with a Sincrodrone "son" called Eidymos, Echolinking their life forces together. The duo then ventured together in a continued attempt to cure the Villser Virus, building a small team and eventually crossing paths with the advanced race known as the Sincroborg. The Sincroborg also lent their science to Hyper Phase in his mission, teaching him to fuse with their technology and modifying his relic of a Biovessel. He renamed himself Sincro Phase Pheyden in their honor.

Enter the Acolyte

Our extended family over at Toyfinity has some new Manglors action currently available to terrorize your collections!

Accompanying the return of the Standard Manglord and the special Protolord from the previous Toyfinity preorder is the Manglord Dactylian Acolyte. Shot in a deep and vivid purple and accented with a very interesting, almost color shifting paint (watch the color pop simply by passing from shadow into light), the Dactylian Acolyte comes forth to test the Manglord on behalf of his master and terror from the skies, the Manglodactyl itself!

Don't forget to also capture the latest tribes of Mordles while exploring the catacombs of the Toyfinity shop!

We're working closely with John Kent and Erwin Papa to help expand the world of Toyfinity's Manglors and think the next chapter might really rattle your bones!

Thank You!!!

Thank you for an excellent start to 2023! The Manglors Madness that began over at Toyfinity mutated right into Wave 96 throughout the last few weeks, and we've had a great time celebrating the long-awaited return of the classic series with all of you!

As Toyfinity's main man, John Kent, detailed over on his blog, the road to bringing the Manglors line back to life started over a decade ago, transforming repeatedly during its development. We explored some wild concepts together, with multiple artists lending their abilities as things took shape. I still remember very clearly talking to Ralph Niese about the early Toyfinity plans and then waking up days later to a barrage of amazing concept art that he'd whipped up, based on just some early sketches I'd shared with him. That wicked artwork Ralph created became part of the foundation of the project, providing an awesome "what if" visual companion as we continued to reimagine a bunch of crazy old toy lines.

Many years and many drawings later, when the time finally came to actually bring the Manglors project into the process of full production, we sadly found ourselves living in a world without Ralph in it. Luckily for all of us, we were able to welcome another mega level talent to the mayhem, in the form of Erwin Papa

I'd met and worked with Erwin on multiple Toy Pizza/KOTS projects thanks to our favorite raconteur and super creative, Jesse DeStasio, so the timing seemed perfect. It's truly due to the infusion of Erwin's wildly original and creative style that the new Manglors initiative finally reached the right level to reemerge with purpose. We can't thank Erwin enough for his incredible contributions and steadfast dedication to resurrecting the Manglors series with Toyfinity and all of us over here. There's even more wild Erwin-Powered creature action on the horizon!

We also want to send out an extra special and massive thank you to the Cosmic Class artist that is Nate Baertsch! Nate's extraordinary digital painting for the Toyfinity Manglors launch was an absolute showstopper, continuing to fuel his meteoric rise to the ultimate levels of Frank Frazetta and Ken Kelly. No small statement, but absolutely true to the last word. Thank you, Nate!

Last but not least, thank you to our own Cady Doughty for putting together the new Manglors theme music! Cady really delivered on the challenge to come up with something "brief, spooky and cool", capturing the vibes flowing through Nate's art and Erwin's sculpting. Coupled with the supremely skilled Marcus working the animation in perfect timing as usual, we were all able to enjoy something really special.

As of this writing, all the orders since the new release (except a few from today) have been shipped out and should have already started landing. Michelle and I worked together at triple speed to try and push everything out the door as quickly as possible, though a nice ice and snow mini front decided to give the old shovel muscles a mid-packing workout. Music in the barn once again leaned into the Interstellar soundtrack peppered with a little GI Joe: The Movie "listening" as the tape gun was flying. Seemed appropriate to channel some Cobra-La, seeing how that and Inhumanoids lent some serious DNA to the new Manglors aesthetics.

Looking ahead, the current plan is to return in early April with Wave 97 if momentum continues to pick up at the factory. Expect some more monstrous action within a decent sized assortment. For 2023 in general, we're going to try an alternating schedule between mini and medium scaled offerings about every other month, barring any slowdowns.

Thanks once again for being part of this ongoing project we call Glyos. It's because of all of you that we're able to keep on making unique and strange things to share with true authenticity. You allow us to pursue our creativity without interference, and for that our entire family couldn't be more grateful.

Wave 96 is GO!

Wave 96 is live!

Huge thanks to the unbelievably multitalented Erwin Papa for another wicked Manglors illustration!

We've had the best time working on the Manglors project with John and Erwin, and what better way to celebrate the ongoing Manglors Madness than with a Manglors takeover! Kaisyriax and Pheyden look like they've met their match!

Note: Please place only ONE ORDER WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR TONIGHT. We will lift all limits after the first hour. Thanks for your cooperation. Have Fun!

Also, due to the state of things with Covid-19, we will only be shipping domestically (and to Canada) for this wave. We sincerely apologize to our international customers for the situation.
