At CES 2025, OLogic and MediaTek introduced an advanced AI-powered demonstration robot showcasing cutting-edge robotics and AI capabilities called the Pumpkin Bot.

This robot has our powerful Pumpkin Genio 700 EVK equipped with the MediaTek Genio 700 SoC and integrated with ROS2 Humble, the Pumpkin Bot demonstrated autonomous mapping and navigation using ROS2 Navigation and SLAM, allowing it to operate seamlessly within a mapped environment. Its AI-based object detection, powered by an RGBD camera and AI model, enabled it to locate a colored foam ball (~6” diameter) with precision. Once detected, the Pumpkin Bot autonomously navigated to the ball and used its custom-built gripper to securely capture it before transporting it to a designated location for release.

The system also featured full WiFi connectivity for remote monitoring and control of ROS2 functions from an external host PC, as well as teleoperated control via a Bluetooth-connected joystick, offering both autonomous and interactive demonstration capabilities.
