Summary:
“You’re going to kill me, Dean,” Sam says, eventually.
And all Dean can say is, “I think I am.”
A season 10 AU, set after 10x14 (’The Executioner’s Song’). Cas finds a solution that might cure the Mark of Cain; but if they’re going to go through with it, Sam has a terrible price to pay.
Author's note: I wrote this for the sammybigbang but had to post it here on OhSam, too, because it came out of the five-year anniversary fanworks meme that you guys ran back in (cough cough) Feb 2015. So this is a very, very late amnesty post and I hope chomaisky can forgive me for the delay!
Title: More Fierce than Fire Author:leah_elisabeth Rating: Teen and Up Genre/pairing: Gen Characters: Sam & Dean Winchester; Charlie Bradbury, Castiel Word count: 3K+ Summary: Charlie never knows what to expect when visiting the Winchesters in their brand new Batcave but it certainly isn't the touch of fire, an injured Dean and no sign of Sam. And she certainly never thought it would be her turn to be the hero.
Spoilers: none Warnings: Lots of blood and hurt. Disclaimer: I do not own these characters; I'm just enjoying the opportunity to beat them up. Author's Note: written for the 2015 Fanworks Challenge for center_galaxy: Gen, any season with Charlie. Charlie heads to the bunker intending to have a great day with the boys only to find the place in shambles, Dean injured and Sam missing. It's up to her to be the hero that she's so often read about and rescue Sam from whatever creature has him. Hurt Sam however you like (but no permanent injury please!)
Title:Lost Rating: PG 13 Genre: Gen, hurt/comfort Characters: Sam, Dean, Castiel Word count: ~3100 Summary: Dean is not ready to lose Sam. Dean will never be ready to lose Sam. Except, maybe it's really out of his control this time. Spoilers: Through to episode 10.22. AU for 10.23, including the promo Warnings:Swearing, suicide attempt, depression, severely ill Sam
Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognise. I really wish I did, but nope. Kripke is the one who created them.
Sam is acting weird. Forgetting things, occasional bouts of aphasia or spouting gibberish, dizziness, and it's very quickly getting worse. All unexplained occurrences. Until Dean insists he see a doctor and Sam is diagnosed as having rapid early onset dementia, already very advanced and likely caused by the numerous head injuries he's had over the years. Or is it? Dean won't accept that Sam, the brother he's protected all his life, might soon be lost to him. Dean looks for a miracle cure and even thinks a witch's spell might be behind it. All the while, Sam is aware he's losing chunks of himself and he's scared, tortured by the knowledge that he will lose his memories, his intelligence, and become an empty shell, a burden to Dean for the rest of his life. He considers/tries suicide maybe.
Whether Dean is successful in finding a cure or not is up to the writer, but just no miracle angel cures. This is kind of a dual hurt/comfort story.
Title: In The Dark. Beta: dualityforce Pairing: Gen (can be read as Wincest if you're wearing goggles! Summary: When Sam is abducted from the lone bar of a one-horse town, Dean is desperate to find him. Three weeks later Sam is found, and Dean begins to understand that finding his brother might not have been as hard as putting him back together is going to be; Sam has been kept alone and completely isolated from his senses, and there's no easy fix for that. Filled (very late) for the prompt by verucasalt123 on the OhSam comment-fic meme. Status: Complete. Words: 13,000+
Title: A Normal Life Author:rirren Rating: PG-13 Characters: Sam, Tyson Brady Pairing: None Word Count: ~5,500 Warnings: PTSD, flashbacks Genre: hurt/comfort, friendship, pre-series Summary: Sam is doing his best to make a life for himself in Stanford, but almost two decades of the Winchester lifestyle have taken their toll. Once he's away from hunting and those constant, life-threatening situations that kept everything under the rug, his long-dormant PTSD flares up.
Title: Angel Unaware Author: dragonflybeach Rating/Warnings: Teen. Season 9 spoilers, blood, gore, frank discussion of physical injuries, vomiting, canon typical ghost on boys whumpage, and a few naughty words. And alternating POV. Genre: Gen, h/c, angst Pairings: None Characters: Sam, Dean, Kevin and [Gabriel!] Word Count: 17.7k
Summary - AU in Season 9 - Sam feels great after the trials - a little too great maybe, because he gets hurt on a routine hunt and doesn't realize it. When he has to leave the hospital because the doctors can't figure out why he's healing so quickly, he starts putting together all the little things that haven't made sense over the past few weeks and comes to the wrong conclusion.
Title: Tell Me Your Secrets Author:winchesterpooja Beta:walking_tornado Rating: PG-13 Genre: Gen Pairing: Nothing significant — one instance of Sam/Jess and slight Dean/original female character Characters: Sam, Dean, original characters Word count: 24790
Summary:
Sam activates his Winchester luck by inadvertently touching some cursed bones. Dean is left with the task of rescuing his brother. Again.
Spoilers: Through to 8.21, The Great Escapist Warnings: Sexual situations — not explicit, but can be perceived as dub con in a way, so please tread carefully, swearing, gratuitous Sam torture, and
majorcharacter death which is different from regular character deaths in a way that I cannot explain
. This fic was written for the following prompt at the ohsam challenge by indiachick: “Ill-from-the-Trials Sam finds bones in a room in the bunker while doing inventory. Not thinking much of it, he burns them. Naturally, if they were for burning, they would've been burned long back and not wrapped in a bundle and put in a box with a big scary seal on it. Gen, slash- no problem.” I went with gen and very much enjoyed writing for this prompt, I must say. :)
Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognise. I wouldn’t be writing fanfiction if I did.
Title: Buried in Water Author: Balder12 Characters: Sam, Cas, mentions of Dean Genre: Gen H/C Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 4,400 Warnings: blood, nausea Spoilers: Through 8.21 Summary: Post-8.21 Dean has to go on a hunt, and Cas takes care of Sam [Spoiler (click to open)]during a particularly nasty bout of Trials-related sickness.
A/N: Written for a prompt by shangrilada at the Oh_Sam H/C Fic & Art Celebration. About the title: some people believe that in baptism the person's sins die and are "buried in water," and he is reborn as a child of God. That seems relevant to Sam's interests at the moment.
Hell has No Fury Than A Mother…. By: M14Mouse Vail_kagami's prompt-Mary, who never quite made it to heaven, finds out about Sam's soul and where it is, so she goes through the deepest pits of hell to retrieve it. I want Mary being totally kick-ass, and then some motherly comfort. H/C Challenge 2010 Disclaimer: Don't own them.
