Within the context of a sustainable city, he Municipality of Odunpazarı and the Municipality of Tepebaşı have exemplary works in Turkey within the scope of recycling the wastes and sustainability. The Cleaning Services of the Municipality of Odunpazarı collected 6700 tons of waste in the Odunpazarı area between 2007 and 2017 and as a result of this they prevented a forest that is as big as 1700 football fields from being destroyed. In the studies that are conducted in this context, a survey to draw attention to the recycling works which are being conducted in Eskisehir and that measures the awareness was conducted and analyzed. The study aimed to measure tendencies of the community of Eskisehir regarding the environmental issues and sustainable energy resources, and waste garbage. A survey study was conducted between 01 March 2014 and 14 April 2018over a sample of 460 people who reside in the Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı districts that are considered to represent the Eskisehir community. 231 women and 229 men who are over 18 years old participated in the survey study which was a preliminary survey to measure the ecological footprint of Eskisehir. It was aimed to raise an environmental awareness through predominately the energy consumption and conservation, transportation vehicles, recycling of the packaging waste and the consumption habits of the community. Ecological footprint which is known as a method in quantitatively calculating the sustainability is a calculation method that enables preventing the consumption by raising awareness regarding the resource consumption conception of the mankind. In the survey that was conducted with quantitative research methods and face to face meeting method, 40 questions which consists of 6 demographic and 34 environmental questions were directed to participants. When the answers that were given to the five-point Likert questions were analyzed in the survey, it was seen that average of the awareness level of the Eskisehir community was high in the subjects like recycling, energy conservation, environmental pollution, and air pollution. In conclusion, when the findings that are gained from the survey are analyzed, it can be said that the works that are conducted regarding recycling exhibit the success of sustainable works of the Municipalities of Odunpazarı from the promotion design to the application. The awareness conception that is being endeavored to be created in the environment level in Eskisehir will bring transformation and the transformation will bring a healthy sustainable life to the next generations.

This research also aims to explore the definition of crea-tivity within creative design problem solving methods. In this context, the search focuses on a design workshop titled “From Sound to Image’ which took place at an Erasmus+ international week in Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja, showing emergence and the development of instant crea-tive works. Studies show that creativity is the result of intelligence, accumulation of knowledge, sensitivity to prob-lems, need to succeed, risk-taking, demographic features, conditional factors and organisational factors in the business world. Environmental awareness and level of consciousness in creative individuals perceiving by using all their senses and learning by trial-and-error method is high. However, person-ality features of the individual have a significant effect on utilising the potential and development of creativity. Among the dynamics of creativity, inner enthusiasm, extensive curi-osity and constant question-asking are included. Creativity is associated with an active personality, being imaginative, innovative, finding new paths, trying the unaccomplished and discovering new methods.

Elements of graphic design associated to visual communication design's multi-media work, has created innovative and awareness inter-disciplinary studies. Among the works examined in accordance with this approach, "Designer's Mottos & Episodes" and "Designer's Experimental Typographic Video Journal" were created during the design studies at Fine Arts Institute, Proficiency in A1is at Anadolu University. These are short films and videos created by stop motion technique of the eclectic relation between graphic design and visual communication can be calledinterdisciplinary studies demonstrating the innovative experimental designs.
One of the rapid ways of communication is the data visualization infographics for informative purposes. Infographics uses complex data to transform into understandable visual expressions such as universally interpretable symbols, graphics. This research aims to analyze the role and impact of infographics as a visual representation of information and communication method in terms of an education resource for sustainable actions. Within the scope of this research, it was concluded that environmentally conscious infographics can be used as a very effective educational tool in schools. Canadian educational infographics on environment have been examined on climate change within the framework of literature review. This research reveals that infographics has a powerful impact on our decisions and actions on environment as a rapid visual message interpreter. It can be claimed that infographics is an effective education method which also develops student skills such as visual literacy and critical thinking.
