Phonograph Discs and Cylinders
Media for sound recording or playback that use the vibration of a stylus or needle following a spiral groove on a revolving disc or cylinder.


Magnetic Tape for Audio
Audio formats for music and voice recording and playback using magnetic tape, most of which are now obsolete. Includes analogue and digital tape.

Optical disc media from the Compact Disc onwards for digital music playback, and in some cases, recording.
