I have been developing my own version of Old School rules to run my current campaign, picking some ideas from several sources. Most of the basic game comes from OSRIC, a free version of which is available on the OSRIC Webpage. I have also drawn a bit from Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game (BFRPG), another free set of rules that has bunches of add-ons that can be used. And of course, every other book on 1st and 2nd edition that one can imagine from all the way back to late 1970’s. There are 3rd and 5th Edition material from the World’s Most Popular Role-Playing Game, some things from Pathfinder by Paizo….you name it, I’ve probably at least looked through it. The great thing about all these sources is that they can be molded and tweaked to fit into just about anything. I should also mention I use a great deal of stuff from Lord Gosumba himself, Jay L. Scott. (Lord Gosumba’s Twitch channel link can be reached here). I figure with 40+ years of play-testing some of the character classes, rules, spells and magic, it will probably work in my game as well. Feel free to use or change anything here – after all, sharing stuff is what it’s all about!
